I won't read this freak's article, but I hope he works Marvin Harrison into his "good vs evil" theme this year.

    Re: TMQ:Afc preview

This is just a clown writing what he WANTS to happen, not what he predicts actually WILL happen.

YAY! Manning v. Manning, how cute. What a child.

Hitler Youth still works there? I thought he got canned after the Walsh stuff.

Never in human history has one man been paid so much to write so much, and nevertheless be so incredibly wrong about so many different things.

I hate the guy and never read his column unless it is pointed out to me like this thread, but he seems pretty fair and balanced. Other than the karma crap with the Patriots for running up the score and the Spying Elviis, he did give the Patriots a glowing review and basically say that they could be the Super Bowl winner although he is going with Indy because of the stupid karma angle.

So he basically says that he prays the evil Patriots should be punished by some karmic god for their evil ways last year.. but that when push comes to shove he wouldnt bet against them. Sounds about right.

I hope someone fair and evenhanded writes one soon. Someone with no bias. Someone like Bill Simmons! Yeah

The Colts will win because they love the sound of children's laughter and believe in a higher power.

Stop reading guys like Easterbrook and Dr. Z. They are media guys who refuse to understand the mentality one needs to play or coach winning football. They have biases based on media friendliness NOT football strategy or performance.

For the last week I've been addicted to Mike Lombardi's blog on Nationalfootballpost.com. Unlike some of the so called experts, Lombardi actually knows the NFL.

The Colts will win the superbowl because Jim Sorgi will finally rise and become the hall of famer he was born to be.

If there are football gods, they will exact vengeance on him for his willful stupidity. :banned:

He gets me steamed with his regular Spygate mentions - that's the point after all - but I enjoy reading his column still. If we were to limit our sources to those "who KNOW football" we'd be down to a very short, and likely very boring list except for a sharpie or two like Lombardi and Kirwan.

TMQ purports only to be a fan who is lucky enough to get paid to write about his favorite pro sport - The NFL. Jeez, he mocks himself more than anyone. But I'm not here to defend him, if you can't over the Spygate stuff, well, it's your life. I just think if you really dig football, you'll find his column worth the while most weeks. Suit yourself.

you could read it in secret and still bash him on Patsfans.com. That way you could play it as an ultra-homer while at the same time checking out if the enemy has anything useful to say.

The Colts remind me of the '90's Atlanta Braves. Regular season heroes and playoff zeros.

All the National Media sees are the regular season stats. They fail to take into account that the Colts are 7*-6 in playoff games since 2000, while the Pats are 14-3 over the same period.

*4 of those wins came in the Colts Super Bowl winning season.
