When it was translated by archeologist they found the monks got the number wrong, its 616, lol

I always laugh when I see so called tough guys with 666 tattoos, lol.

It wasn't translated by archaeologist but by Classics scholars because the original passages were in ancient Greek, and interesting enough, the book of Revelations is widely considered to be a thinly disguised political tract and the number 616 supposedly refers to Emperor Nero, whom the earlier Christan authors referred to, very critically, in coded language to avoid reprisals.
