Sorry to post another thing about cameragate, but this sounds like positive news.

Former Pat Tim Fox, speaking on the 7News postgame show with Joe Amorosino and Fred Smerlas last night, said that "he has heard" that the Jets had their own cameraman removed from the sideline in their game last November (January? He didn't elaborate) in Gillette. He also said that the Jets doing the same last week was just "retaliation."

Take it FWIW...

does it surprise anyone, mangini comes from the school of BB. If you ask any opposing fans they would strongly disagree wouldn't you say.

Re: Tim Fox: Jets had cameraman removed vs. Pats last year

This is real news, and needs more play. Fox is a former Pat, and has inside sources. This indicates that the Jets were guily of similar violations, which should cost them a 1st rd pick as well. Why hasn't any one else picked up on this?

That's what I was just saying to someone - if the NFL wants to continue the witch hunt, so be it - but it should be a witch hunt against the goings on of every team not just one. We got caught with the camera - fine, we've paid the price. Any look into prior bad acts should be towards 32 teams, not 1.

Because the NFL does not have a agenda against the Jets! What about the dolphins being cleared when using the "Oh that tape, we found that at the airport on a seat" excuse.

Re: Tim Fox: Jets had cameraman removed vs. Pats last year

I think Fox got it backwards according to Guregian?
Estrella was also removed by the Jets last season, and Belichick was warned
that the Jets would rat to a higher authority if it happened again.
Sorry, but it really is Belichick's fault.
Mangin=rat, but BB should have stopped the practice.
It was only a matter of time before the masses ganged up on the Patriots.

Re: Tim Fox: Jets had cameraman removed vs. Pats last year

It's starting to get real obvious that the NFL wants to get rid of BB and the Patriots. They are going after us and ignoring the rest of the football.

Why do you think Fox got it wrong? Did you even see the piece?

Actually it was Tomase quoting a league source.
Posted today in the Herald.
The Patriots had been warned by everybody and his brother before finally getting busted.

OK so the list of teams that need to lose a 1st round pick:

1.) Miami
2.) New York Jets
3.) Any team coached by Jimmy Johnson after he comes back

Am I missing anything?

How do you know Fox was commenting on that information, and not on something else? He claims the Pats removed a Jet cameraman from Gillette late in the year. The Tomase piece says the Jets made a stink about a Pats cameraman early in the year. Those are very different nuggets of information.

Re: Tim Fox: Jets had cameraman removed vs. Pats last year

the Jets are such ******* ****ies.

They do this crap too and then have the balls to start the cheating scandal and then continue to fuel it.
Their fans ought to be embarrassed.

Re: Tim Fox: Jets had cameraman removed vs. Pats last year

Does this really surprise ANYONE?

Did we not just have about a 1000 post thread with tons of video still from 3 separate JETS games (including last week's game that Estrella got busted in). Duh, nobody gave a sh!t about that story (cept us), and nobody is gonna care about this one sadly.

Re: Tim Fox: Jets had cameraman removed vs. Pats last year

Does anyone know anybody that can follow up on this?

Re: Tim Fox: Jets had cameraman removed vs. Pats last year

I e-mailed The Big Show and Pete Sheppard (couldn't find a direct email for Fred Smerlas). Maybe they will run with it?

Haven't heard anything yet...

Quite a bit, I'm sure.

They should just investigate everybody, then cancel the entire first round of the draft as punishment. :)

Re: Tim Fox: Jets had cameraman removed vs. Pats last year

Lemme get this straight. According to this Tim Fox person, the Jets once used a cameraman as well, in violation of league rules.

But they did it for "retaliation"?

Oh, I didn't realize retaliation was a mitigating circumstance in the violation of league rules. I think I prefer "misinterpretation."

What a pile of TOOLS.
