Do we have a latest on the fitness of our No.1 and No.2 TE's?

If Daniel Graham and Ben Watson can get into the mix, with maybe Matt Light thrown in, I think we will have as fearsome an offense as there is in the playoffs.

I say rest them. Watson could be our secret weapon in the playoffs.

Against Tampa:
Graham played secondary TE behind Fauria.
Watson was inactive, listed as questionable with a head injury.
Vrabel played decoy for Ashworth on the goal line.
Ashworth started at LT with Kaczur inactive.
Hochstein is locked in at C.
Troy Brown hasn't been used at TE yet, but I suspect he's been taking some practice reps.

Thanks Box.

I am looking forward to seeing Graham on the rampage of one of those short screen plays again a lá Atlanta.

I think Troy would make an excellent pass catching TE - maybe we could find a way of making him the lead blocker in goal-line situations aswell?!

I am really starting to doubt that light will be back this year. heard some reports that he looked like he lost a bit of weight and think it would be hard for him to try to get back in game shape during the playoffs.
hopefully kazur will get back healthy as well as evans so we can use him as our bruising full back along with pass.

light has trouble maintaining weight, doesn't he?
sounds like a slow TE making it work as an NFL LT.
must have some stones on him.
bless him.

When they brought Ashworth back he took his game reps at TE and FB. Light may not get back to playing weight in time to take back LT from Kaczur or Ashworth, but he could come back and take over the FB and blocking TE duties.

We are developing quite a nice set of OTs, especially if we re-sign Ashworth after the season (remember this guy has only been playing tackle 4-5 years).

OT Light...............2010 Doubtful......playoff experience
OT/OG Kaczur.......2009 Questionable
OG/OT Mankins.....2009
OT/OG Gorin.........2007..................playoff experience
OT Ashworth.........2005..................playoff experience
OG Neal...............2005..................playoff experience
OT Britt................2005 Practice Squad
OG/C Hochstein.....2006..................playoff experience
OG/C Mruczkowski..2005..................playoff experience
OG Yates..............2005..................playoff experience
C Koppen.............2006 IR..............playoff experience
OG/C Tucker..........2005
OG/OT Krug released from Practice Squad due to injury.

We have nearly as many O-linemen now as we had going into Training Camp - with a pretty comfortable array of talent too. So far we've only lost two from injury, I'm not counting Light out until he's IR'd.

I'm hopeful Ashworth and Neal will be re-signed, BB/Dante like a smaller offensive line then most teams use (Woody at 330 is the norm), so I like our chances to compete for them.
