I know people who played against Fred Taylor in high school. They said he would churn out 100+ yards in one half then sit out the second half because Glades Central would be so far ahead that they didn't need to play him. He churned out something like 1,500 yards and 20 TD's all while playing only the first half in the vast majority of games. And, for those of you who aren't familiar with the Pahokee and Glades areas, a lot of NFL athletes came out of that area. Basically you're looking at the boonies where it's either play football or stay there for the rest of your life. My dad did some coaching out there a while back and he said that the skill position players spend parts of their offseason chasing rabbits in their spare time. Crazy.
