Compare to all Patriot teams since 2001, here are some observations
This is the 4th time the Patriots have been 10-2, and they have been 11-1 and 12-0 once each.
03 SB champs were 10-2, 04 were 11-1 01 were 7-5 and 14 were 9-3.
Surprisingly, 5 teams (01,02,05,08,09) were 7-5.

After game 12, there have been:

6 4-0s
7 3-1s
2 2-2s (02 and 15)

2016 Pats rank (out of 16 pats teams thru 12 games)
10th in points scored (ahead of 01 and 03 champs, and btw 03 ranks 16th)
3rd in points allowed (behind 04 and 06 but ahead of 01,03,14)

#1 in turnovers (champs were 2,3,6 15)
#15 in takeaways (champs were 3,4,11,12)
#8 in total defense (champs were 3,4,9,11)
##6 in total offense (champs were 7,9,15,16)

So this version has been better than most on defense, including the 3 of 4 champions in points and 2 of 4 in yards.
It has been one of the worst in takeaways but the best in giveaways, and has been comparatively medicore on offense, however the lower rated offensive teams won championships.

Not sure what conclusion there is here, but interesting numbers.
