Something tells me that violent crime is about to skyrocket in america. Thus, this news doesn't surprise me at all.

I'm not saying liberals have the best answers, but at least liberals try to improve the urban communities by advocating education, daycare, jobs, after school, and other programs. Conservatives have no program to help the urban poor, other than to tell people to be better parents and to punish bad guys after the fact. The only way dangerous communities will become more safe is if the government invests enough in children to build a generation of responsible adults.

What a shock. You think the government and its programs will make dangerous places safe, even though the majority of massive government programs under unbelievably shoddy management have been concentrated in the cities for years. How's that workin for ya.

    Disable Jersey

School vouchers. Oh, I forgot, 'liberals' are NOT pro choice for allowing families the freedom to decide how their children are educated. Instead they mandate that parents MUST send their kids to whatever failing school system the government orders them to. My bad.

I gotcha, it's cool. Let's keep the ball rolling though. :) What I should've followed up with is: At least it's three less votes for Kennedy, right? Where's wistah? He'll have a good one to follow that up with. :)

Didn't you yesterday object to the politicization of american troops being killed in Iraq? However today you seem to think that this is a talking point. Neither should be politicized, where is the humanity???

My above post is suppossed to be a mocking of other users previous posts. It was a response to Pujo doing the same thing....really not at all on topic, just a poke at some of the dumb arguements that go on in here.
I asked about wistah because he and I had a real good opposite post in another thread. Sorry, you didn't get it....it was just a joke really.

The point is that if this was done jokingly about troops in Iraq being killed for no matter what the reason, you would have been offended.

You're right, because that did happend and I did get p'oed about it. This whole thread is about hypocrisy anyway so it fits right in. Regardless, you are correct in your statement and I will desist from making anymore like that.

Oh c'monn, his response was funny. If I ever get to the point that I'm so serious about politics I can't laugh I would shoot myself.

Many liberals are not against school vouchers, provided it's not set up in a way that reduces funding for public schools. The problem with school vouchers is that they help one group (the middle class) and hurt another group (the poor). In addition, liberals feel that private schools should be subject to the same rigid standards as public schools, and that the programs should do what they can to ensure an economically and racially diverse student body.

Private Schools should be just that, PRIVATE. If certain groups wish to Force their 'social agenda's" on others let them go to the publicly funded schools and try their "brainwashing there" then it can be decided by the voting public.

Private means Private, they choose not the public, it is called "FREEDOM".
