Almost makes me wish they dumped Tebow at the same time.... to be AHern's life coach.

I've been lurking on the forums since the Tebow trade, had a bad experience with the Jest forums.. anyway, this article is a joke. Whoever wrote that is just a damned parasite.. And the 3 guys in the vid are just awesome with their 20/20 hindsight reporting..

As a gator fan first and foremost, I followed Ahern's career.. and I lived here in Gainesville while he went to school. He got in trouble, but a lot of guys did, to say you should have seen this coming.. come on. St Louis better kick Jenoris Jenkins off the team now, he MIGHT be a serial killer! Better yet, Brandon Spikes! OMG! He came from a "thuggish" background in NC..

Got to love the media, anything to make themselves look smarter than the donkeys they are.

Sorry if I offended any donkeys or their family that may have read this.

Exactly. There are plenty of other guys with more red flags coming out of college than ahern. Jenkins for one. Maybe moss falls into that category.
To be honest I'm a little worried about spikes. Nothing would surprise me

Thanks all, way better reception than I got at the tgg boards. I wont repeat what they welcomed me with back then as I dont want to be banned for language on my second post.

I will probably go back to my lurking now. Just hate seeing the media A) use tebow just to get clicks, and B) act like they saw this kind of stuff coming.. where was that video 5 weeks ago at mini camp saying how Hernandez was probably going to murder someone because of his lifestyle.. bs.

No...do NOT go back to lurking. Your opinion is welcome here as are all opinions of fans that truly want to discuss Patriots football. I am one of the Patriot fans that did not want Tebow here because of the tumult the Jets went through last season...but the more I thought it through the more I realized the Pats are NOT the Jets...in fact, no franchise or fanbase is quite like the Green Nyets. You will find many diverse opinions here and many times threads will get heated but is that NOT who we are??? If you have no passion for NFL football then I suggest you may be an oblivious android.

boston really does have a murder's row( pun intended ) of lameass numbnuts sports reporters but i don't think holley belongs on that list. felger ? for sure. and merloni should just stick to back up shortstop questions.

speaking of numbnuts... saw a picture of shank on deadspin the other day. someone should test HIS dna. that dude definitely looks like he was dropped here by aliens.

Holley's point about paying Welker was also 20/20 hindsight. He forgot to mention that Welker is almost ten years older than Gronk and Hernandez, which is the primary reason that the Patriots didn't offer him a longer term deal.

If there ever was a stick to poke in the Jets' eye it is Tebow. That reason alone should be enough to make Tim a fun member of the Pats.

Light years on an intergalactic voyage with Shank? I don't think so. Aliens would have spaced him long before they got here. "The hyperdrive isn't what it used to be ever since we passed Alpha Centuri...blah blah blah."

Welcome. You'll find the only thing hated by fools more than Tebow is the Patriots.:) BTW, the harshest, stupidest media is usually based in Boston. (In sports they are all angling to be contrarian -leaving one to wonder who they are contrary to...but I digress. Other things should not be on a sports board.:))

Welcome SDI- I too trolled the Jets site last year- Got to be the worst fans in the NFL- So happy that the Pats are a class organization. They will be very easy to root for and make my "team". I hope Tebow doesn't play and just learns for a year or two. Brady is the Man and irreplaceable in my book- They were always my second favorite team anyway because Ahern (sad day) and Spikes were there. I hope we stick it to the Jets big time-

In my experience, at JI, there are some idiots in the asylum. At GGF, the idiots are running the place.

Tim really kept an eye on Aaron while at Florida... Tim was the unquestioned leader... Aaron really looked up to Tim and they were good friends... That's why Aaron for the most part kept his mind ON the field, rather than off it.... I really feel like Brady should have gave Aaron a little more emotional support, knowing Aaron's fragile mentality... It's one of the main parts of being a leader... That's why I believe if The Pats would have signed Tim last season, this whole tragedy may have been avoided... God Bless

Nothing personal, but that's about as large a load of steaming BS as I've heard in a long, long time. Aaron Hernandez is a grown man and was an extremely well-compensated professional. It's not up to Tom Brady or anyone else to babysit Hernandez. The idea that anyone other than AH is responsible for AH's behavior is absurd. Oh, and by the way, with each passing day we get more information and evidence which suggests that AH's mind was less on the field at FL than you suggest. Instead of blaming Brady or anyone else for Hernandez's behavioral shortcomings, perhaps you should have prayed harder for him, or, better yet, for his victims.

I hate to say this, I really do...But it's just something that I've noticed... Is it just me or have all of Hernandez's victims turned out to at least give the impression of a thug or gangsta?.... Could this possibly have just been a bad guy killing other bad guys?... (Like most homicides in America).... Don't get me wrong, it doesn't excuse Aaron's alleged crime at all... But, to me it's just the culture that America has created... You load the inner cities with drugs and guns and say have at it boys.... what you expect to happen?... It's natures natural course IMO... You get in to trouble and want to live the 'thug' life... You end up dead or in prison...Everyone knows that... God Bless

Yeah, Bristol, CT, Gainesville, FL and North Attleborough, MA. Now, those are 3 urban hell-holes.

This is why I lurk.. those are the tebow fans that give us a bad rep.. zero facts, just blind speculation. While I think tebow is a great guy off the field, that has nothing to do with why I am fan, and has nothing to do with Hernandez and his "fragile mentality". Blaming Brady? Wow... why didnt tim help him more at florida?

Did tebow try to help hernandez? There's 1, o n e, documented case... nothing else. Saying anything else is bs.

Edit: obviously I quoted the wrong person, but im on my tablet and its too much work to correct it.

North Attleborough ,Ma.... NO.... However, Bristol, Ct and Gainesville, Fl are different stories completely...... Would I call them urban hell holes?...absolutely not... Would I say that they both have a lot of documented gang activity?...Yes, I would.... And I was making two separate points... I was saying in general... Look at all of the inner cities in America.... Flooded with drugs and guns.... What do you expect to happen?...Killed or put in Prison... That's the life these people choose.. They know what the risks are... So, no.... I won't pray for the victims... Because IMO, they were probably into the same thug life that Aaron was into.... Like I said, they knew the risks... I have no sympathy for those type of people... I'll save my prayers and sympathy for the little girl who's had two lung transplants and failed on both...If I'm the bad guy for that.... So be it... God Bless
