im sorry to bring bad news. but FKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

FCK U BALTIMORE.

FK? English please? Can we act a bit more mature than "FCK U BALTIMORE"?

Great. The Pats didn't need another OLB anyway.

welcoem to the new NFL. big time guys are probably never gonna make it to free agency.

smart move by balt... are you kidding? AT would have been a steal for any team

Sure, he can play it, but he's been most effective as an edge pass rusher.

Hes a great all around LB..and he can COVER very well..something a few LBs on our team cant do anymore.

even if he played outside..itd be fine with me

funny..last year only 3 FAs got franchised..this year just about EVERY good player got franchised.
Briggs, Samuel, Freeney, Thomas, Redding

good names left: Stallworth, Clements...

anybody know how or if they got under the cap? does this mean some players will be cut?

Donnie Edwards isn't a good player? London Fletcher isn't a good player?

Edwards isnt an FA

Fletcher is a good player but i didnt put out every name...

Edwards' contract has been/will be voided.

Just because they franchised him doesn't mean they'll sign him. I'm sure they will try but if they can't make it work with the cap they are thinking at least they'll get some compensation in a first round pick.

I just want to say "Thank you for breaking this new and intriguing story!"

don;t they have to be under the cap by March 2nd?

good is very relative... neither was close to AT

Huh?

Thomas had 11 sacks, but how often do you see an ILB in a 3-4 defense blitz?

Edwards had 141 tackles. Fletcher had 146. Thomas had 83.

Fletcher had 4 interceptions. Edwards had 3. Thomas had 1.

You're fooling yourself if you think Thomas is a substantially better play than either. They're all very even.

He could have done it without the all-caps "FCK YOU BALTIMORE", though. ;)

well I wish the news could have been foisted upon us with a little more cermony, but Tomas being franchised makes things interesting. Carlos Polk is a very interesting option.
