Finally, ex-military personnel are admitting they have seen UFO's. They are admitting this publically. Most of the men seem to be former military personnel stationed at current or former nuclear missile silo's.

    Fascinating stuff!

Check out the first link which is a video of these men discussing their experiences before the media.

If a tree fall is the woods.....

In the last 10 years or so, there has been so much put out there in the media from government and military officials who used to be so tight lipped about such a topic.

YouTube - CNN: UFO Disclosure Wanted by High Ranking Officials

YouTube - Buzz Aldrin Reveals Existence of Monolith on Mars Moon

YouTube - Neil Armstrong on 25th Anniversary of Lunar "Landing"

Listen to Neil Armstrong....and his passion, and sadness...there is some $#!t going on that we are not made aware of.

then this news came across my desk the other day:

God knows we need them, might slap some sense into some people.

I wish "they" would just come down and help out, we could really use them at the moment with the world as it is. ;)

I don't know, if I was an alien I probably would not come down either humans deserve to live with there actions and should suffer the consequences for them or they just won't learn.

Just want to say I'm not like them! So you can pick me up UFO's! I'm ready to get off this rock.:rocker:

2000 years ago, people used to think that the Universe revolved around the Earth, not a lot has changed since then....Were not a special snowflake like some people seem too think.

I hope that someday you realize that crackpots like you do more to harm your cause by propagating misinformation that you do to help it. People like you prevent science from studying this issue seriously because you lie, distort, and misrepresent anybody who says any single thing on the subject.

Somehow, in your mind, PatriotsReign is hurting the scientific community by posting about a press concerence at the national press club?

Like a while bunch of scientists, who WERE studying life in the universe threw up their arms and quit 'researching' because of posts like PatriotsReign put up on sights like PatsFans.com political discission board?

BREAKING NEWS: Stephen Hawking just quit 'science' because of this post.....He said (Through his computer voice) "Its people like Holy Diver who prevent scientists like me from studying this issue seriously. They lie, distort, and misrepresent me each and every time I even mention Aliens. I wish to shout-out 'the universe', and my man Hubble...PEACE!"

    Please, Wolfpark, tell me more....

Um, I was responding to your post, not to his. So please don't engage in erroneous transference.
Please give me an example of Stephen Hawking saying that we are being visited by aliens from outer space.

You can start by answering my question: Please give me an example of Stephen Hawking saying that we are being visited by aliens from outer space.

And since you're learning disabled, let me be clear: I am not talking about him saying that alien life is out there. I am asking you to give me an example of him saying that alien life is visiting the planet Earth.

    I await your non-response.

Pack....I would say chances are, we have been and are being visited by beings from another world.

Unless you'd like to explain the thousands of unexplained sightings & experiences for us.

PR, I believe there is life elsewhere in the universe -- I think it's so large there has to be, unless you believe the earth was created by a god with some special interest in what goes on here (which I don't)

But I don't think we are visited by aliens. For aliens to be visiting us, they'd need to be aware of our presence and have the ability to get here (and leave?), all undetected -- and have the desire to do so in secret. Seems rather unlikely.

How to explain 1000s of "sightings"? Well, what is the time frame and geographic scope? 1000s sounds like a lot until you put it into perspective.

Actually, the odds are against life arising here, let alone anywhere else in the universe. That is why cosmologists and astronomers have created the idea of the "multiverse" (to give them a way to put the odds back in favor of it occurring all on its own).

Given the statistical odds of life occurring purely by chance the odds of it occurring multiple places in just 1 galaxy are way off the charts.

Lets assume the creationalist argument for a second, that man and life were created by a divine entity. Would such an entity create such a vast universe, billions of light years in distance...and only create one Earth-like planet?.

seems like a waste of real estate.

If we assume the big bang approach, all that is needed for 'life' is water, and that is abundant even as close as our moon. There's more water on the moon than anyone thought | Reuters

I think the odds are not as vast as you assume they are PF13.

I think you're wrong on both counts.

I don't think there is any way to calculate "odds" on life arising.

That's also not the reason for the notion of "multiverses" -- which is far from an accepted hypothesis, btw. (Quantum physics has nothing to do with the question of how life began.)

(Just wondering, where did you come up with either of these ideas?)

What exactly are the statistical odds of life occurring by chance?

How large is the universe? How long has it existed?

Mulitiverses, multi-dimensions, and quantum mechanics .....

when dealing with those concepts on even a tangental level, alien visitatin seems more and more reasonable.

During the middle ages and up until quite recently (i.e. about 150 years ago or so) , there were "thousands" of sightings of demons, devils, sea monsters, mermaids, succubi, etc. I guess those are all real too?

Well the succubi are real, but sorry, all those other things are fake.

That is not an argument that supports the naturalist explanation. Let's agree that neither one of us know what happened.

You need much more than water for life to occur. You need the right-sized planet at the right distance from a the right-sized star, etc. There are a lot of other factors.
