I think this picture says a lot too:
He's happy people are suffering so he can have a photo op?
They both seem pretty happy, don't they? At any rate, better than Romney holding a political rally in Ohio on the day after the storm. But, why do you seem to attack Obama so much more than Romney when you support Jill Stein and Hillary Clinton? What is it that Romney, Stein, and Clinton have that Obama doesn't?
You mean the "rally" where there was absolutely no political signage whatsoever and all they did was box up and prepare relief supplies to be sent to people who needed help?
Yeah, that was really out of line. Helping out the victims of this storm and all.
"Never let a crisis go to waste"
Obama once had it ...
lost it when the health care bill was written behind closed doors and never got it back.
Became Bush Light ... there never was any change born of hope.
Which rally was that? The one I was talking about was this one:
Romney turns Ohio rally into "storm relief event" - CBS News
The campaign removed all campaign-themed signage from the event, instead hanging one large American flag from the ceiling and posting information on donating to the Red Cross on two large TV screens hanging in the arena.
But the event still had some of the trappings of a rally, including rounds of chanting for the candidate by those in attendance and a few campaign-related t-shirts (including "Obama: You're Fired!" and "Don't tread on me!"). In addition, the organizers played a video biography of Romney that is a staple of his campaign events.
what does this picture say? little to nothing
funny how libbies try to deflect the fact that obama is a total failure with really trivial things
Yes, Obama is overjoyed that everyone is talking about the hurricane and not Benghazigate. Christie is happy because the guy who likes to throw around money is here.
So the Romney campaign changed the theme of the rally to one of storm relief but a few people showed up with anti-Obama tshirts and they chanted Romney? Is that what happened? Oh no!! talk about a non-story...
The tee shirts and chants are not significant, but of course that's why you're focusing on that. I'm talking about the video biography of Romney. That's a sure way to politicize an event.
I surely won't get in this debate ... Romney is an equally bad photo ho' ...
However ... I think it's worse to use the Presidency to get a photo op.
How, exactly, does that make him "Bush Light?" THAT was the moment for you? Really? LOL
If you argued torture or doubling down on foreign occupations based on fraud, I might agree. But spewing a policy Boy King NEVER would have instituted doesn't really make sense.
Gitmo is still open, the trials are who knows where. Granted he toughen up on torture but then again Bush exploited it and Obama brought it back. He extended the Afghanistan war with no results. Iraq ending was planned under Bush.
The military complex is still roaring and the defense cuts are more a product of Congress cuts than Obama - in fact he has delayed defense cuts.
He had us involved in Libya and we are involved in Syria though not openly - he is more covert than Bush in that regard but no saint.
He approves of foreign assassinations and has little to no remorse for the killing of civilians through the useless drone program. He is not much different than Bush - he just does it on a smaller and more clandestine scale. granted - maybe it's the military calling the shots for both he and Bush - but he hasn't stopped it.
also - a small topic in the media and one I post here with little response ... he is in bed with terrorists to carry out his foreign policiy. He has been involved with elements of Al-Qaeda in Libya and Syria to overthrow their government. Again ... not a war monger but no saint either. I do believe he is Bush Light and/or he has not had the backbone to change as promised. Perhaps he just stays out of the way - either way it's a fail militarily.
Disclaimer: I don't think Romney will be better and may well be worse. I do know Stein would be better - or she would die a hero for exposing the big secrets to America.
OK, many of those things have merit regarding the flawed policies he carried over from the worst president of all-time.
But you wrote that Obama lost his integrity with the health care bill.
Aside from the photo op, Christie praised Obama...take it for what it is worth.
He did......at least to anyone who now understands the entire health bill
Two Stinking Grinning Politicians
Perhaps this picture tells a different story.. and probably better
so explain to me who romney is supposed to be sitting with........I know he is more than glad to take up that empty chair that obama is sitting in
Where is the photo of Obama while the consulate in Bengahzi was under siege and 4 Americans were slaughtered?
Is there one or are you just throwing crap out there to hijack the thread. Can't find one of your Bengahzi threads? Is that it?
Regular person capable of staying on subject: "Hey! The Pats aren't playing this week!"
Triumph: "I know. Probably because they're being murdered by Obama in Bengahzi!"
Holy crap! Are those the now-we-love-Jesus guys from the crap-azz 70's pop band "Alabama"? Do they know Romney's a Mormon?
"Oh, play me
Some mountain music!
Like Grandma and Grandpa
Used to play!"
Santa! Did they suck!
There is no picture of Obama taking care business of the Benghazi debacle because we know how that turned out.
So, the Sandy photo op is supposed to make everyone believe what a great President Obama is right on top of this disaster.
Too damn funny.
I started this thread and it involved Benghazi from the beginning. Go back to sleep after you look at the first photo that I posted.
What does that have to do with anything I posted? You're getting wierd. But don't worry, Obama won't end the wars or stop bailing out the insurance banks in his second term. You'll have four more years to wretch and spew about how bad he is and how much he hates the military. Unless, of course, he loses, and then you can masturbate every time Romney is seen saluting the troops he loves so much that he dodged the draft to avoid losing a leg in Nam.
And no. It's just a picture. It proves nothing. The relief effort will take more than two days- just so you know. Then we can talk about what kind of job he does for New Jersey. And don't forget! Natural disasters like this in a place like New Jersey cost a lot of money. New Jersey doesn't have the money. We'll all be pitching in and that will add to the deficit. Maybe Willard can collect some cans and boxes of pasta to offset the cost.
You were whining that I am hijacking this thread. Please take all further grievances and complaining to the Moderators or Ian. Thank you.
Isn't hijacking a thread a violation of forum rules?
Seems to me the OP started a thread about the recent tragedy in Libya, not about the hurricane. If you would like to discuss the hurricane, please feel free to start your own thread or contribute in one of the several that are already out there.
Oh, Wolfie, show me the rule against hijacking.
The only relevant rule for this thread is this one (on the main forum page): "Please be sure to explain your point and why you feel that way, and offer some input as to what you like, or what you don't like and why. Please don’t start a thread about a coach or player that has just a sentence of two saying someone stinks and should be gotten rid of. That makes it hard for everyone to see your view of things unless we really understand why you feel the way you do."
Based on that rule, this thread could be closed, but obviously the political forum is small group, and we're a little more flexible with some of the rules.
I saw this thread being about meaningful images, based on the title of the thread. You saw it being about the content of the image in the OP's post.
