I'm thinking this myself. The early lines about 'paying your dues' and 'serving a sentence but committing no crime' are particularly meaningful for me seein' how in 2000 I voted for the guy who got the most votes.

This last week has also felt similar to the week following this little event. Of course the added benefit is that the whole world won last week, not just the Patriots.

Given that we don't elect a President that way - who cares.

Don't be so bitter over this. Just think, in only 2915 days it'll be constitutionally impossible for Obama to be President anymore and you know he takes the Constitution a lot more seriously than the last guy.

Oops, forgot to figger in two leap years. Make that 2917 days.

I'm not bitter. If you paid attention you'd know I didn't like Bush nor McCain a whole lot either. So while I'm not happy with Obama, it's almost a non change for me.

It has been a good week for liberals. Obama's handling of torture, Gitmo, diplomacy with Iran, and global warming are terrific. He's being as bold as Bush II, Reagan, JFK, or Roosvelt, but like those who were successful, he's surrounded himself with a lot of talent. For me that suggests he will introduce effective liberal policies that more people will like than dislike even among the middle class.

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Two men released from the US "war on terror" prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba have appeared in a video posted on a jihadist website, the SITE monitoring service reported.

One of the two former inmates, a Saudi man identified as Abu Sufyan al-Azdi al-Shahri, or prisoner number 372, has been elevated to the senior ranks of Al-Qaeda in Yemen, a US counter-terrorism official told AFP.

Yeah, working out great  Lets hope he "surrounded himself with a lot of talent." Because he has no idea what he's doing.

What's your point? They were released before Obama took office. So, it does not appear that Obama is responsible or that Gitmo protected us from them. So, what are you trying to say? You seem be to talking nonsense.

Uhm ,yeah past conduct is no guide to future performance. As we've already seen these combatants return right back to where they left off. All reasonable people agree Obama's "plan" to close Gitmo has threatened the security of this country. But, you praise it. Keep talking liberal pap and praise of policy that is nonsense. It's fascinating. Sunshine lollipops and rainbows ... :singing:
