You can't convince me Taripian will give more value to the team than Randy Moss.

You can't convince me that Kyle Love will have more of an impact than Gerard Warren.

    In BB I trust.

Randy will be here only if Deion, Wes, or Chad gets hurt.

    Gerald will be back

Love will be an inactive backuup NT in case Wilfork is injured. Belichick has judged that Love is the best choice at that role.

Warren will likely be back, hopefully in place of Tarp.

Love has youth and upside.....and could be claimed if waived....

Warren will be on Pats shadow roster......

Pats didn't lose anyone by waiving Warren.....;)

Does Randy play ST's? Pats have a full roster at WR.....If a WR gets hurt, MAYBE BB would consider Randy, but I wouldn't count on it.....

Well then I hope Deion gets hurt, because Moss provides way more value IMO. He's not as good after the catch, but he's a much better red zone target, long ball target, and opens up the field more.

We aren't suppose to convince you, their performance on the field is.

Tarpinian over Moss, yes. Please, for the love of Kraft, get it through your skull that the 2011 Moss is NOT 2007 Moss, his skills have diminished rapidly, which means he doesn’t get the ball as much, which means he’s a diva and a pain to deal with. Moss is also predictable, he goes deep and that’s about it, he shys away from contact and wont go over the middle. Give me 2011 Price any day of the week over Moss.

If no one can convince you of these things, why make a thread?

I'm just not sure what content you are looking for here.

You can't convince me you didn't sleep through the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
Moss = more downside and disruption for a few limited moments of ESPN highlights than HAVING ANYONE ELSE on the roster.

As someone else said Love = longterm upside (we have to have some knind of youth on DL wiht all those over 30s there) and Warren has told BB and the world he aint going anywhere. If he wasn't going to crack the game day 45 anyway - then waived = same as 53 at this point.

There is always room for improvement; that is why BB (and pretty much no other NFL team) has the same 53 on Jan 5 as they did on 1 Sep.

    No Jersey Selected

Did you not see what happened last season after Moss left and Branch came back?

You have got to be ######## me. This board can't go 24 hours without starting another new Randy Moss thread?

Look, more of this has to do with the waiver wire and guarenteed contracts than the actual talent of the players.

Rooks and players with less than 3 years must clear wiavers if they are released. And I think as we have seen, nobody the Pats waive clears waivers.

On the other hand if a player is on the opening day roster, then his salary for the entire year is guarenteed. Hence the week one dilemma, keep the youngsters on the roster, and don't sing the vets until after week 1........

Well the Moss question has been asked and answered, as to Warren/Love, IMO Warren is on the shadow roster, we agged a lot of age to the DL that will be gone in the not too distant future, Love and Pryor are the best of the young DL and may not even be a game day active when the rest of the DL is healthy, you keep a 2nd year inactive and not a vet for that spot.

with all due respect, football is a team concept. the best, most talented individual players do not always make up the best team. its an important concept.

i dont think anyone would doubt randy moss is a better individual player than jeff tarpinian. but its not always about that

Everyone seems to be down on Tarp, but since precisely no one knows the extent of his ability or the designs BB has for him, I'd say it's a mildly irrational position to hold.

I'll take Love over G. Warren, who for some reason is wildly overrated on this board for the most part.

I'm not expert on interior line play by any means, but I've thought that Love can hold his own on the line. He won't ever be a superstar like a Haynesworth or Wilfork but can be a solid player. Am I wrong in that assessment? Why the Love hate?

I'd be surprised if Love is ever inactive this year. I believe he was active in every game the second half of last season and now with the 4-3 rotation, I expect him to always be one of the 46. I do agree that Warren will be back, but then he may be gone again if Brace practices well coming off of PUP.

If I had a say, a post like this will you get you a season ban. How ridiculous. Or did you mean to say Deion get cut or something? Hurt sounds insane.
