Ok, all the media has from the NFL and the Pats is that an investigation is ongoing about Belichick's misinterpretation of the videotaping rule. Help me out here- when did any NFL sources mention ANYTHING about stealing signals or cheating? Hasn't the NFL said it has made NO OFFICIAL DECISION regarding the matter?
All this sensationalism has allowed the media to run wild with speculation and it seems other teams are teeing off on it. The Steelers, Jaguars, Chargers, Packers, Jets, Bills, Lions - all implicating that the Pats were involved in some sort of foulplay. You think those teams would come out and say that if they didn't have the platform they have today? No chance. Even on ESPNNews they used that bogus "smoking gun" photo w/ the guy in the red shorts.
The Belichick apology is even implied to link it to taping signals. He just apologized for the controversy, that's all. And he said MISINTERPRETATION, people. He wouldn't say that after talking to Goodell unless they agreed it was a misinterpretation. He may get penalized, sure, but this isn't a blatant violation like people think (hope) it is.
This is just getting way out of hand. If the NFL had us red-handed then this should be open-and-shut. Why the deliberation?
