Pretty good accounting of what went wrong on the Deep Horizon, fortunately do not have to pay for this WSJ article...

This company deserves the full penalty for their actions -- I'm torn as I kind of want to support limits on liability to prevent frivilous lawsuits but also believe that any free-market enterprise that fails this spectacularly deserves to be consumed by that market as a lesson to others on corporate responsibility.

A limit on liability doesn't rule out frivolous lawsuits.

At the same time, there's no reason a person or company can't face the full repercussions of their actions while we also prevent truly frivolous claims.

Another from the WSJ, there was an argument at an 11am meeting about the drilling:

Revette was killed in the explosion. It sounds as if there was an issue and a dispute about what should be done. We need to hear about this discussion and what issue was being discussed.

It seems like there's been no one in charge, even after it blew.

I love that movie. Bill Paxton had some terrific lines in that movie.

That's it man, game over man, game over!

Hey, maybe you haven't been keeping up with current events, but we just got our asses kicked pal!
