OK there is about a month before Training Camp starts and it looks like many of us are reaching to find football related stuff to talk about.

So why don't we do a really early, totally meaningless (as they all are) predict the record poll. This will be one of 42 predict the record polls before the season starts.

Here's the schedule in case anyone doesn't have it memorized by now.

Re: The way too early to do this:predict the record poll

I am not happy that the choice is 16-0 and not 19-0 as I found that to be an odd sticking point last year and as we found out 16-0 is cool and everything but not the end of the book.
that was my the vote I cast though.

I'm going with 14-2. Possible loss at SD but not at Indy. One other surprise loss but not to an AFCE team or the Steelers.

Re: The way too early to do this:predict the record poll

I'm going with 14-2 which means it won't happen. I DON'T want to see them go 16-0 to much pressure, plus its already been done.

So you would like a way too early to include the playoffs with the way to early to predict the season poll?

yes, now get it done

Re: The way too early to do this:predict the record poll

14-2 with losses coming to San Diego and Buffalo at the end of the season when we rest our starters.

Re: The way too early to do this:predict the record poll

I say 13-3, though I'm never absolutely certain of their record until after the first pre-season game:D

Re: The way too early to do this:predict the record poll

16-0. It's dejavu.

Re: The way too early to do this:predict the record poll

14-2. There were some games we won last year that involved a dash of miracle dust. There will be close games this year as well, but we can't expect to win all of them. That said though, the Pats are still the best in the NFL.

Re: The way too early to do this:predict the record poll

13-3 or 14-2. These things are so hard to predict; if things had turned out slightly differently against Philly, Baltimore and the Giants, ( a couple of minutes' different play over three games), then we could have ended up 14-2 SB winners. Equally, we could have been 19-0...

Re: The way too early to do this:predict the record poll

Last time we lost a regular season game gas was $2.40 a gallon.

AHHH, The good old days.

I say 14-2. No particular microanalysis - it just feels like the right answer to me.

17-2 ending the year with at least a three game winning streak.

He wont rest the starters unless there is no bye week.

14-2 with losses coming to Indy and I think Seattle on the road. Just a hunch...

If that becomes the case then switch Buffalo with Seattle.

I'd love to say 16-0, but 14-2 would be amazing.

I'm new to the forum, but do you guys think resting the starters in week 17 (Giants) would have changed the playoffs? I do, and perhaps without 16-0 on the line they would have.

But the past is just that.

14-2 w/ losses to San Diego and possibly (ducks) the Jets. My buddy who knows football better than me says they've beefed up they're D a lot.
