IS the fact that right now they are pushing to break records against their opponents and once they get into the playoffs and can smell the SB they will light teams up. With no records to play for they will play for what really counts and thats the Bellichick..urr I mean the Lombardi. For all those who are gonna say "well they are still playing to go undefeated" Its the playoffs and thats what everyone is playing for. if you are 11-5 or 16-0 you cant loose so the pressure is the same for everyone. I just can't wait for this  :rocker:

    #12 Jersey

yes, 2 big reasons im not overly worried abt a january upset:

    1. these records will be out of the way, opens up the field for everyone on offense. yes i do think brady's been pressing towards moss last few games.

    2. in our 2 biggest games of the season @ dallas and indy, we've had 'disaster' plays allowing the other team back in the game or to take control (brady's fumble return for td, addai's fluke td). and STILL won against possibly our 2 biggest threats, in their house.

yes, our team is scary good. obviously it is the nfl and we could lose any given sunday, but i feel really good right now.

My guess is that the Patriots were holding back in the playbook area. What surprised me was that Brady played the whole game and kept trying to pass even with a 4 TD lead.

I'm thinking that the coaching staff has been holding back something the last 4 weeks in preparation of the playoffs.

I have a feeling if they get the records early in the last game and they are looking good they are rulling them earlier then normal and it's not like we are hgoing to see a lot of the Giants starters

it has to be real tough keeping 100% intesity for an entire game when you are blowing teams out.

we saw the fire when they needed to make plays in the baltimore game.

I expect them to elevate their game to another level.

I think we're seeing the tip of the iceburg defensively. This group is as talented and healthy as any Pats defense that's ever stepped on the field. There won't be missed tackles in the playoffs. Ty Warren, Wilfork, Jarvis
Green all improved with a few years experience plus a 100% healthy Seymour = Best D-line the Pats have ever had?? We'll see.

Aside from the loss of Colvin and Sammy Morris, I think this is the healthiest the Pats have ever been heading into the playoffs. There hasn't been any rash of injuries like in years past. Did they change anything in their weekly regimen?

Seymour has looked better these last two games. Thats a huge plus.
Watson should be back for the playoffs; if healthy, a huge plus.

I think the first game will be a breeze (whoever it is). With us having the bye week; and our opponent being a tad worn down from the first round game; and I don't think they'll have any shot.

The AFC game is the one where there's a small chance we lose.

And if we get to the superbowl; I doubt we lose as BB will have 2 weeks to prep and we all know he's able to utilize that second week.

    Disable Jersey

The truly scary thing about this team is that it's relatively young. Brady could easily play another 7 years, Maroney's 22, Light's the oldest starting offensive lineman and he's not 30 yet, Seymour's the oldest defensive lineman and he's not even near 30, Watson's still a puppy, Welker, Stallworth, Gaffney and Jackson are still young, Moss isn't that far past 30, Rodney is the only 'old' guy in the secondary and they've got Meriweather AND Sanders along with Wilson to cover for him when the time comes, and the kicker is a puppy too.

The only two spots on the entire team where age is really a factor are at punter (not exactly a tough spot to replace) and linebacker. If Belioli can work the cap and the players stay willing to work within the system, this team could certainly be competing for the title every year for another half a decade, easy.

the ironic thing about this is I copied it off of a website I googled to spell his name correctly. I actually never typed his name for the fear I would be ridiculed by a lil idiot who gets offended by someone who thinks that since they know how to spell his name that BB thinks of him at night. But thanks for the spell check Webster
