If the Tea Party group respresents those who are upset over gov't spending and our soaring deficit, then it truly could gain enough momentum to create a third party. As it stands, they are associating themselve with the republican party, but I strongly feel that's a huge mistake. There are too many moderate democrats like myself that would be willing to consider joining this movement as long as it's NOT part of the republican party. It is my opinion that the Tea Party group would be better off as a potential third party that is inclusive of unhappy democrats and republicans. If they get caught up in such idiocy as "family values", they are doomed. Any thoughts?
