    In 1933, a few years following the stock market crash, Congress passes the Glass-Steagall Act, in hopes that regulating banks will help prevent market instability, particularly amongst Wall Street banks. The purpose of the act is to separate commercial banks that focus on consumers from investment banks, which deal with speculative trading and mergers. ....con.

    I'd like to see him lose everything and have to live with the whiners. But that would never happen even if he lost every thing it would only be temporary hes to well conected. Or write abook about being born again,and how he sinned and make a fortune. :rolleyes:

    Phil Gramm isn't the solely for subprimes becoming the lightening rod they are today. It was the doing of a number of different cohorts in government, namely Alan Greenspan, Robert Rubin, Bill Clinton, and Phill Gramm among others.
