Much of the Patreaus scandal has to do with the abuse of power and that he was above all of us, his actions were always revered, he was a hero and he could do no wrong. Then came Paula Broadwell, and he seems to have gotten caught up in a free fall..

Maybe it is as simple as being at war for 11 years, and the continued decision making about young folks lives that clouds judgement..

We all have known men who ascended to power, and despite their outward appearances there has been a dark side to their personal life.. male ego's are easily confused, when they have too much power.

Their pay is actually modest, but the perks rival those of a large CEO.. they have 4 enlisted men assigned to them; a valet, chef and several others..

Perhaps the perks and lavish lifestyle, contributes to their feelings of invincibility... interesting article today in the WAPO... Gates comments are interesting.

He was horny, he was a cheater, there's millions of them, a little bent over weasel who got caught, he's just another Clinton, Eiesenhower, Kennedy etc etc.

    I might add,
no never mind, the rules are getting to strict on this forum.

Now see many democrats are angry about this Benghazi affair questioning. One byproduct of it all is America is getting information mostly off the radar on the life in the upper echelons of the military. Safe to say this could well be over thanks to political pressure. I am always okay with investigations if they are quick and don't involve lawyers left and right ... it's like a good toilet flush - it's needed at times ... exposes them and their MSM friends cannot help them much.
