Haven't heard much about the Las Vegas Nevada Review-Journal until now, but they must have done something to royally p.o. Dingy Harry Reid, liberal Dem Senator from Nevada. At a local Chamber of Commerce luncheon recently, Reid met the director of advertising for the R-J and Reid said: "I hope you go out of business" (!!!!). To which all I can say to Harry is: "Dude, that's MY line (reserved for the WashPast and NYTimes); get your own already!!! Yo", .... and to the Review-Journal, "Right on, keep it up, whatever it is you're doing!! Harry's coming unglued, like the rest of the left-wing gene pool."

Anyway, gotta love the spunk of the Review-Journal's publisher, hope it permeates throughout the paper. ....... seems to be a great place to practice journalism, y'all.

Stop the childish bullying

This newspaper traces its roots to before Las Vegas was Las Vegas.

We've seen cattle ranches give way to railroads. We chronicled the construction of Hoover Dam. We reported on the first day of legalized gambling. The first hospital. The first school. The first church. We survived the mob, Howard Hughes, the Great Depression, several recessions, two world wars, dozens of news competitors and any number of two-bit politicians who couldn't stand scrutiny, much less criticism.

We're still here doing what we do for the people of Las Vegas and Nevada. So, let me assure you, if we weathered all of that, we can damn sure outlast the bully threats of Sen. Harry Reid.

The liberal Dems are not only losing the war of the Town Hall, they're getting stomped by more and more news outlets, too. Stick around, it's getting interesting!!!

It's in the works, HB, even as we speak. Reid's incompetence, mixed with his boorish intolerance for a newspaper to do its job of holding elected officials accountable is too much for the people of Nevada to endure any more.

I like Mormons, have they done anything to make us not like them such as (amputations, beheading, stoning, covering wives faces, flying planes into buildings, treat women like dogs, kill their own daughters for smiling at a man)

FORGIVE THEM FATHER FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO

#75 Jersey

It's US history. They're just as bad as any other religions:

Mountain Meadows massacre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Mountain Meadows massacre was a mass slaughter of the Fancher-Baker emigrant wagon train at Mountain Meadows, Utah Territory, by the local Mormon militia on September 11, 1857. It began as an attack, quickly turned into a siege, and eventually culminated in the execution of the unarmed emigrants after their surrender. All of the party except for seventeen children under eight years old—about 120 men, women, and children—were killed.[1] After the massacre, the corpses of the victims were left decomposing for two years on the open plain,[2] their children were distributed to local Mormon families, and many of their possessions auctioned off at the Latter Day Saint Cedar City tithing office.[3]

The Arkansas emigrants were traveling to California shortly before the Utah War started. Mormon leaders had been mustering militia throughout Utah Territory to fight the United States Army, which was sent to Utah to restore US authority in the territory.[4] The emigrants stopped to rest and regroup their approximately 800 head of cattle at Mountain Meadows, a valley within the Iron County Military District of the Nauvoo Legion (the popular designation for the Mormon militia of the Utah Territory).[5]

Initially intending to orchestrate an Indian massacre,[6] local militia leaders including Isaac C. Haight and John D. Lee conspired to lead militiamen disguised as Native Americans along with a contingent of Paiute tribesmen in an attack. The emigrants fought back and a siege ensued. When the Mormons discovered that they had been identified as the attacking force by the emigrants, Col. William H. Dame, head of the Iron County Brigade of the Utah militia, ordered their annihilation.[7] Intending to leave no witnesses of Mormon complicity in the siege and also intending to prevent reprisals that would complicate the Utah War, militiamen induced the emigrants to surrender and give up their weapons. After escorting the emigrants out of their hasty fortification, the militiamen and their tribesmen auxiliaries executed the emigrants. Investigations, interrupted by the U.S. Civil War, resulted in nine indictments in 1874. Only John D. Lee was tried in a court of law, and after two trials, he was convicted. On March 23, 1877 a firing squad executed Lee at the massacre site.

No. But I don't see how them taking shots at him has anything to do with him being a Mormon let alone based on Reid's own statement against the paper...

I see some racism, some anti-religeon posts, some anti-government and and anti-business posts: but I sure as hell don't see anti-Mormon posts especially not from the one ones you believe are the ones doing it.

You are creating something that isn't there. And of course it's yet another attempt to kill a thread that you personally don't like

.

Harry Reid, clearly on the wrong side of history now, has just given the main newspaper in Nevada all the ammunition it needs to run him out of town on a rail.

Harry Reid did this, no one else. Reid is the one who said, "I hope you go out of business" to the Review-Journal ad sales manager.

The day any politician wants to silence an entire newspaper is the day that politician's future is on the downswing. An act of total desperation, clutching at straws as he sinks back into oblivion from whence he came.

Harry, we knew you too well. Hasta la vista.

57% of Americans polled said they wanted to replace the ENTIRE Congress!!! 57% Would Like to Replace Entire Congress - Rasmussen Reports

Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer and all the rest of that gang have gone insane with their new found power and they will destroy the whole Democratic Party and that is 'a good thing' because from the rubble and demise of the Creeps that now run the show will rise a Democratic Party that finally sheds itself loose from the clutches of The Far Left Wing Socialist Phony Hateful Loons.

Law And Order
Discipline
Patriotism
Loyalty
Common Sense
For God And Country
Morality
Moderate Conservatism
If the Democratic Party returns to those Values they will overcome anything and America once more will become "The Land Of The Free And The Home Of The Brave"

GOD DAMN AMERICA (us presidents one time preacher, disgraceful)

I'm with you, Harry Boy, 100%. If the Dem Party did that, I'd vote for 'em. Gladly.
