Since Hoomanawanui has played 16 NFL games, I thought he was not practice squad eligible.

The ice cream headache inducing rule is that players with 2 accrued seasons which he has are not eligible UNLESS they were active for less than 9 games in either (and in his case it was both) of those seasons. He was active for 15 games in two seasons. So he retains a third season of PS eligibility.

Meanwhile something's gotta give as they had a full PS component on the field for practice with the addition of Taylor and a 52 active roster players practicing with 2 players not (Shiancoe and Vereen). Bill said there were roster moves in the works at his 1PM presser but they wouldn't be announced until all at once later. They have to have been done prior to that practice, though.

Interesting... I figured that they'd save it in case someone more important went down, but it also sort of makes sense that, this being the time of year when the team is healthiest, it's also the time of year when roster spots are most premium. A few weeks--and a few IRed players--from now, the roster squeeze should be naturally relieved a bit.

So we have two tank blocking type TEs, one All-around stud TE, and one receiving beast TE, can't wait to see what's in store.
