I remember a recent thread detailing why the Pats would beat the Steelers. The basis of the thread was that we had just lost to the Browns by a serious margin and based on past performance we were likely to rebound. The basis of this thread is similar. I went back as far as 2001 checking the W/L record of the patriots against divisional opponents. Since then, we have never lost to the same opponent twice in the same season. Code: 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 NYJ LW WL WW WW WW WL WW WL LW BUF WW WW LW WW WW WW WW WW WW MIA LW LW WW WL WL WL WW LW WL I believe that the tone leading in to this game, having the previous loss in recent memory, will be similar to the tone leading in to the Steeler's game after having been scalded by the Browns loss. The Patriots will remember the loss to the Jets and will be more willing to take coaching advice to heart. They will also work harder to overcome any failures from that game. This is a tenacious team with a competitive spirit. They will fight hard for this one and I have no doubt that every one of them will show up on game day prepared and engaged.
