The Patriots and We makes no sense gramatically, but that song is so unbelievably funny that it doesn't matter. I say they re-record it and have the current team sing it. Awesome.

After watching that video all the way through I swear there was another one out there in '85. It had a more folksy/twangy sound it and sang all of the Patriots players names (I distinctly remember the rhyme about "Lippett and Tippett" (that was before everybody learned that it was LippETT).
Anyone out there remember that song???

I have sketchy memories of some lyrics:

1. I never heard that thing before!

2. I was going to say "At least the PLAYERS weren't the ones singing," but as it went on, a lot more players appeared.

3. Did I see Kevin McHale? Love that Freddy Marion interception. Enough Mayuh Flynn!

4. Most of the way I was sure they were saying "Me" not "We", but it says We at the end.

You're right. That was worse.

I never saw that, probably because channel 5 wasn't involved like they were with the other one (and thus shown a lot).
