sorry, but it's not the record anymore, the Colts did 23 games in '08-09.

First off, I would like to complement Russell on this article. It is fun to reminisce about the 2003 and 2004 teams. After all, we did win Super Bowls in both years with a 21 game win streak sandwiched in between. It's fun to recall the dramatic great times such as the Troy Brown game winner against the Dolphins (as noted in the article).

I do have one big gripe against this article, and that is in calling the 2007 flawed defensively. That is simply not true, perhaps you feel this way because the offense got most of the attention. Let's keep in mind that the offense got this attention because MULTIPLE RECORDS were being broken (most total team points, Brady TD passes, Randy TD catches). They were worth the attention they were receiving, but that does not suggest that the defense was flawed.

Do you recall who was playing on that '07 defense..I'll remind you......Rodney Harrison, Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Asante Samuel, Roosevelt Colvin, Vince Wilfork, Richard Seymour, Junior Seau and Adalius Thomas. Flawed?!?!?!? FAR FROM IT. That lineup is sounds like an absolute DREAM to most defensive coordinators.

Nope, colts lost to the chargers in the playoffs ending their streak. They have the regular season streak. Pats have the real winning streak record. Ignoring playoffs is cherry picking imo.

Agreed, that's why I cringe everytime anyone brought up the Patriots home winning streak (which ended this year at the hands of the NY Giants).

I cringe because really what good is a home game winning streak if you have lost two home playoff games during this streak?

21 wins over two seasons, including the playoffs is impressive, but it's mixing "apples and oranges". The streak that I will always find more impressive is the 10 straight playoff wins this team had. I am not sure if its a record, as several have stated, records are for regular season. That will not be easy to replicate.

Oh those Manning Colts...they were good at winning regular season games i must admit.

On the other hand...21 wins in a row over 2 seasons and 2 SB rings. You definately don't hear that record mentioned enough.

"21" DVD on the NFL's longest winning streak

I just read about this DVD in Patriots Football Weekly. With the Packers losing it is still the longest winning streak in NFL history.

I think Santa will be making a OT trip to my house.

Official New England Patriots ProShop - Winning Streak DVD

Then there is this new book out by Michael Holly.

Enjoyed Patriot Reign and the Tedy book. Holly is not the greatest writer by he does write interesting books for the homer.

That DVD along with my three 3 games to glory DVDs have been viewed many times, the past few years. Would love for the Pats to add to the collection.

I was so happy when KC beat GB, not only to keep GB from having a perfect regular season, but also to keep the Pats 21 game record intact as well. Those types of records obviously aren't the goal, winning the SB is, but I wouldn't mind seeing the perfect (16 game) regular season and the 21 game streak remain for...ummm...well, the rest of my natural life.

Yes, it's funny how my mind works.

When the Bruins went to game 7 against the Canucks, I told my wife it was an important game because the Bruins are 1 win away from having a blu ray.

I really want the Pats to win (not only for the joy of a championship) but so that I can get their blu ray.
