When will Laurence "I'm made out of Glass!" Maroney finally get into the end zone? Post guesses here. My guess is he won't score a TD all year long as I firmly believe he is allergic to the end zone. He is overrated and quickly becoming a dissapointment. I calls em' like I sees em'.

BTW, I am officially the President of the "please draft Darren McFadden in 2008" club.

It's become quite obvious this guy is just a troll and not a Pats fan.

I'm a pats fan. Obviously I can't be one because I'm not a homer and worship your boy Maroney, right? Please. Dude, your boy Maroney is a dud and you can't deal with it. Too bad.

He doesn't get put in near the goal line because he can't get the friggen yard! Hello, wake up. You think BB keeps him out because he wants to give a present to Heath Evans or Sammy Morris? No, he keeps him out because he is made out of glass and sucks as a "get the tough yard" runner. Bottom line.

Actually, he doesn't, which has been discussed at length. This thread is what happens when schools forget the third "r" of reading and instead only teach writing and arithmetic.

    Sigh.

His 4.7 YPC is 12th in the league among RB with 20 or more carries. 7th in the league among those with 50 or more carries.

    Some dud :bricks:

Ya, ok, what's his rank amongst RB's for doing what's actually important............like scoring TD's? Riddle me that ranking professor.

Why does it matter which way we score a TD? Does it really matter that much to you? 6 points is 6 points.

He doesn't get a lot of carries inside the 10.

Comparing Maroney to Dilon (2006) and Morris inside the 10, he's not that bad.

2006 Dillon averaged 2.1 YPC inside the 10.
2007 Maroney is averaging 1.9 YPC.
    2007 Morris averaged 1.5 YPC.

Maroney's stats hold up fine, he just doesn't get the ball there a lot.

I don't care about other RB's. I care about the RB on my team. If other teams have fine china RB's, than that's their problem. My point is Maroney is a 20 to 20 runner who almost never carries the rock inside the 10, thus making his YPC misleading because he doesn't have to rack up the no gain, 1, 2, and 3 yard carries that all the BIG TIME backs get when they run inside the 10. Plus, add that to the fact that he is the RB on the most explosive passing offense the NFL might have ever seen and of course his YPC is going to look good because defenses sit back and play the pass!! Wow, Sammy friggen Morris was also averaging 4.5 YPC and he carried the rock INSIDE the 10 to boot!! Do you people watch football or what? If you are trying to tell me that Maroney is a complete back than you are doing a poor job of it. The guy carries the ball 12-15 times a game, he is always nicked up, and he can't get us the tough yards inside the 10 because, if he could, he would be getting the ball down there! The guy is Mr. AVERAGE, Mr. MEDIOCRE.

Last time I checked Sammy Morris was on "your" team, not that I for one second believe you are a Patriots fan.

Sorry, buddy, you're the idiot here. Morris had 10/85 carries inside the 10, Maroney has 10/89 carries inside the 10. Not much difference.

Why does it matter that he scores td's? Like it has made a huge difference in the record setting pace that this team is already on...please.

You still mad because that Cleo Lemon jersey you paid full price for is now on clearance? Or did Maroney let down your fantasy team because you drafted him in the 1st or 2nd round and he's yet to score? Cmon, me and my blind "glass Maroney" homer buddies here are dying to know.

We'll see who's laughing when the Pats draft a real RB in the 1st RD this year. Meanwhile, when is somebody going to answer my original question, which is WHEN is Glass Maroney going to find the end zone this year??? LOL! The guy has a grand total of 7 TD's in 20 career games and I'm suppossed to believe this guy is a stud? LOL! I can't wait until we get ourselves a true stud RB like we did when we got a true stud WR in Moss, because then all the homers who finally realized Deion Branch wasn't that good will be saying the same about Glass Maroney.

I guess if we were a .500 team or if we had trouble scoring, i would share in your feaking outness, but well we don't seam to have that problem. I have come to the conclussion that BB is a way better HC than i am so I'm gonna just trust that he knows what hes doing. If he needs him to run inside the 10 he will call for it, but till then i think I'm cool with what BB is doing. Also considering that Maroney plays in a platoon RB system, is numbers are pretty darn good.

That's fine. However, BB is the same guy that went to war with Doug Gabriel, Reche Caldwell, and an old Troy Brown last year. He can only play the guys he has on his team. I'm sure if he can get a better RB he is going to do it just like he did with the WR's this offseason. People think Maroney is better than he is because he is a product of a great offense. His YPC are misleading. He would be a NOBODY with another team the same way Deion "I'm Made out of Glass" Branch is a NOBODY in Seattle.

Was Maroney's 4.3 ypc last year the product of being in a great offense? How about his 6 TDs last year?

Sorry, but THIS year's about over. Darren may get lucky and get drafted by some team like the Dolphins who last I checked were in desperate need of a healthy, franchise RB who can carry the load. McFadden might be a nice fit there. He'd make a nice compliment opposite of Ted Ginn, Jr. Guy runs like a gazelle.

well to answer your original question, Maroney will score in the next game. you heard it here. now your argument of the whole "product of a great offense" you can make that argument with almost every player in the league. Edgerin James sucked when he first went to the cardinals. why? Peyton Manning sucks without his favorite targets. why? all these guys get used to a system, blocking schemes, whatever. Maroney is a good runner period. He is in his second year. Lets let him mature a little more before we really throw him under the bus.

Or the way Joseph Addai would be if he was on Miami, or Buffalo, or Oakland or any number of teams.
