No sh!t ! We can't be worse after spending 2 T dollars on Obama STIMULUS PACKAGE.

If you haven't paid any attention lately, Obama is talking about 'bankruptcy' if he doesn't get his healthcare.

After spending 2 T dollars ON HIS STIMULUS, all he can say is 'bankruptcy'. WOW !

You need to change your name from JackBauer to JackAss.

What are you, 12 years old? Because the depth of your argument, your syntax, and your lame personal attacks all point to that being the case.

One thing to note, is that all the so-called growth occurred on the government side of the GDP. There was absolutely no growth in the private sector. Short term fix, much bigger problem for the long-term.

Yes, things would have been worse, short term, if nothing had been done. But our economy would have been much stronger for the long term. You can tell someone is either economically ignorant or being purposefully mendacious when they start using the "but without the stimulus things would be much worse" excuse.

Where is your evidence that the economy would be better off in the long term?

So you'd be willing to let unemployment hit what, 15 percent? 17 percent? 21 percent?

For what it's worth, you just deemed conservative-leaning economists Niall Ferguson and Clive Crook ignorant and/or "purposefully mendacious." But I'm sure you know better.

After spending 2 T dollars on his stimulus, you realize that the ACTUAL UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IS HIGHER than reported 10%?

NEP, sometimes you have to realize some people will never see things realistically, because they simply don't want to. They drink...

I'd prefer to be in much worse shape now and recover with much less debt than to be where we are now.

As of today, we are not in any form of recovery.

You are aware that these numbers are relative, aren't you?

If unemployment is 10 percent, and real unemployment is 17 percent, that means if unemployment were, say, 15 percent, real unemployment would be ~22 percent.

That's easy to say when a.) you have a job and b.) you're not accountable for leading the country.
