Re: Everyone needs to calm down

This game reminded me a lot of the Browns game back in 2010 when we couldn't do a thing. That was a turning point for Brady and are offense.

I think to much blame is being put on JM. He is attempting to protect Tom Brady by running the ball. Obviously we do not have are line where it needs to be to let Tom go back and sling it. I would rather lose a week 2 game then lose Brady for the season because he is getting knocked around.

Re: Devin Mccourty is back

Don't know if any of you saw the replays, but if the throws were any good to Fizty, you will be saying something else. Yes he was around the plays, but they were not incomplete because of what he did necessarily.

Re: Everyone needs to calm down

Let the fans b1tch will ya' ... it's a mourning process that will help in the healing process. :bricks:

While I agree venting can be therapeutic, it also is important to point out the dry, bottom line reality for those vacillating between being out on the ledge and coming back inside for another round of fretting.

Reality of this game:
A) We will not be going undefeated this season. Very strong odds say we weren't going to anyway.
B) The likelihood of winning the division, getting the #1 seed, going to the SB, winning the SB is affectedly VERY VERY minimally by a week 2 loss to an NFC team.
C) In week 2 of the season every unit needs work. The offense and ST proved that and/OR the Cardinals are better than people think.
D) Injuries are part of the game. But if losing AH is the difference between a winning offense and a losing offense, go back out on the ledge! We are in trouble this season!

Relax and look back at seasons past. The Patriots have had VERY successful seasons when getting beaten (sometimes badly) in the beginning of the season. The season is a marathon not a sprint.

Re: Devin Mccourty is back

Fitz was targeted multiple times and only caught one ball for 4 yards and he was being covered by Arrington on that play.

Overall, McCourty had an excellent game. He had great coverage on that Fitzgerald fade in the red zone.

To be honest McCourty did nothing good on that fade. It was simply an overthrown ball and the announcers for some reason credited McCourty. DMc's back was turned the entire time. A remotely good pass and that's an easy TD.

he held his ground.

If by held his ground you mean he didn't stumble or fall on his ***** then yes, he held his ground.

Other than near textbook fade coverage on that fade, I agree he did nothing right. His coverage forced Kolb to throw the ball to Fitzgerald's backside and he helped to cut off his route so Fitzgerald had to go to the sideline.

A remote good pass would have been in incompletion.
