Perhaps Patters or FTW can sticky it until the weekend so we can put all our random thoughts, ideas, and BS in one thread?

Just curious here ... Do you think:

Hillary is getting the respect she deserves?

Hillary is demanding to much attention?

    Hillary is up to something?

Obama wants her as far away as possible?

Thanks ... whether you like Obama or McCain I think the conventions are important ... they are a staple of our political culture ... one we are lucky to have.

Watching MSNBC right now ... Chris Mathews comes on and the backdrop is outside the convetion center with huge Hillary for President signs behind him ... gotta luv it.

The Obama people and the Hillary people are trying to outshout each other. This is groundbreaking news for our generation, we have not seen this or anything like it at a convention.

This convention is like an AA meeting.

    Hi .. I'm Nancy and I'm unified.
Hi .. I'm Ted and I screwed the Clintons but I'm unified.
Hi .. I'm John Edwards and I screwed Rielle.
Even the kids ... "Hi dad" .. are we cute enough to unify these backstabbers.
Even Tom freeking Brokaw ... Hi, I'm Tom and I've been a closet liberal for years.

I agree with that FBN, we still have the best country and the best method of choosing our leaders in the world but (to me) this one is one of the more distasteful because I personally don't care for either one of the candidates, we will just have to suffer through their term as we have done with other Presidents.

I have no intention of voting this time around, I could never see the logic in voting for a person I don't like, I may be wrong but that is my right as an American.

It would be nice if we could vote ... actually vote for none of the above. These people look at non voters as lazy but it would be nice to see how many people would vote "none of the above" ... would be interesting.

There are many candidates from other parties to vote for. Check out these people:

I held my nose and voted for Kerry last time. Although I never voted for him for senate. What can you do? But, I never voted for a Bush or a Clinton and I never will. I think they both have harmed this country in ways that will echo on for decades. Maybe centuries.

Agreed. You are forced to vote whoever they put forth. And we all know that is maniupulated quite a bit.

These conventions are very similar to religion. Except obviously for these people politics is their religion.

I find it kind of humorous that they want vehicles with alternative sources of energy to get off of oil. Who can afford to buy a new car when their house just got foreclosed on. Why don't we start with enhanced public transit or solar panels affordable on your house or to ehat your house?

I don't know why people are in awe of Hillary.

Personally I think alot of this is rhetoric and the founding fathers would be ashamed that alot of these politicians have sold out to corporations.

I think it's going to take tough times for us to rebound and I don't think we have gone there yet.

Be prepared. We live in scary times.
