Masterson was pitching like a siv at the time he was traded and for the last 3 years is 23-34 with a 3.9 ERA skewed by this season's 2.66 ERA (4.55 & 4.7 2009/2010). Even now he's only 7-6 and the Indians are playing better than they have in years.

I'm more concerned with Lackey's inability to locate at 82.5 million dollars and our apparently glass constructed rotation.

Funnily enough I did have ESPN on before I had to head off and was able to watch that inning. He did pitch very well yesterday.

masterson wasn't a starter then he was coming out of the pen for the redsox so those stats are irrelevant. the first thing the indians did with him was make him a starter. hes a very good young pitcher with a lot of upside.
when he did some spot starting for the sox he did well. if he was still with the sox he would have ten wins easy. 10 and 3. im more concerned about lackey also but this is a message board. people like to express there thoughts.

Point is, it was a dumb comment. Masterson is a mediocre pitcher, we got a season and a half out of V-Mart., who's a far superior player. We're not exactly struggling pitching depth wise either.

How's the trade worked out better for the Tribe? He's 23-34 there. That's not working out at all.

i told you why. what makes you think i have to justy how i respond on a message board to you? masterson is a very young good pitcher we gave up for a rental. thats enough of a reason right there. i don't accept your proclamation that masterson isn't a good pitcher. hes very good and very young with lots of upside. i loved the trade when they made it. if i thought the sox would only have vmart for a year and a half i wouldn't have done it. why is that so hard for you to understand? i love the gonzo trade. why? because they kept the guy there fore justifying all they gave up to get him. would you like the gonzo trade knowing the sox would only have him for a year and a half? and did the sox give up rizzo and the others because the sox didnt think they had any potentional? the redsox loved masterson. you have to give up something good to get something good in return. get some help for yourself.
