If anything, the advantage always should be with the NFC, which has much bigger markets.     What goes around comes around. 10 years ago the situation was switched. The difference the salary cap makes between coasts is interesting though.

    Exactly. I started watching the NFL in 1986 and spent a long, long time watching the Giants, Redskins, 49ers, Packers and Cowboys tear up the AFC. Some of those early Superbowls were embarrassingly one-sided.
