Face it, Brady is playing like a very average NFL QB right now. If Brady plays well, and the playcalling is better, we're 5-0 easily

Both times we've lost our D hasnt had bad games. We were scoreless second half again when we had a great cushion. Any offense with the weapons we have, to be scoreless for an entire half, that's a major issue

I know Moss was covered by Bailey but no catches in the first half. Seriously? He's a HoF receiver and we cant find any way to get him in the game? Seems all the top opposing WR's we face all seem to get in the game (Mason, Marshall etc)

The miss to a wide open Moss, the underthrow of Welker, the constant screen passes

His TD record this year is woeful

He really needs to get better by week 7 or were in a real struggle this year

What I dont get is why Brady keeps overthrowing people. Mostly just overthrows Moss really. Its like he thinks Moss is faster than he really is or something. I dunno. Maybe Moss lost a step?

Maybe Brady worked out his arm too much while rehabbing and now its too powerful lol

Damn... the Broncos were allowing 6.5 pts coming in, and this game was on the road. People take for granted that Brady avoids a lot of sacks and avoids interceptions. This loss is on playing in Denver against a remarakable defense, and daring Kyle Orton to beat us, which he did. Sometimes you have to tip your cap to the other team, and I think if we played this game 10 times, we'd struggle to win 5.

Brady wasn't perfect, but they scored two TDs vs. a really good D. The Moss overthrow was off target, and so was the Welker underthrow, but I can't pin a loss on two passes. There were also a lot of good plays by #12.

Expectations are too high right now. In my weekly metrics, I had these two teams each getting 15 points with Denver having the homefield edge... pretty darn close to the real thing.

I'm hoping the Pats get some confidence on their offensive side of the ball against two clunkers coming up.

But that doesnt excuse that pass to Welker in Q2 that should have hit him in stride, nor does it excuse whatever adjustments he's making at the line, nor does it excuse not even looking at his top WR just because he's covered by a decent CB

I dont think anyone is not giving denver their due. They played a good game and came out on top. Props to the Broncos.

That said, what we're complaining about is that we had the game and could have put it away if a couple of passes were on target. Denver had nothing to do with that.

Not that I disagree with you, but Brady did admit earlier in the week that it would be stupid for him or any QB to challenge Bailey. So it does sort of make sense that he would be reluctant to throw his way.

As for the 2Q Welker pass, I thought it was tipped and that was why it was behind him? I could be wrong, but I only saw it the one time and thought it got tipped.

Nobody has even seemed to notice this yet, but we were getting in an offensive rythym the past couple weeks. Fred Taylor was playing like a beast, he is now out. Nobody has even mentoined this, but i think it contributed quite a bit to the loss today. He took a lot of the pressure off of Brady, but after today the pressure is clearly on Brady once again.

I thought there was a decent rhythm with Morris running early, but then it just seemed to stop.

Have to agree somewhat. Brady was terrible in the second half, just like the Jets game, basically non existant. Brady is still far from back from the knee injury. But, let's face it, our playcalling sucks, our defense is putrid. Brady didn't give up two 90+ yard td drives, our defense did. Our secondary sucks, can't tackle, our D-line gets no pressure, etc. We are no longer an elite team, it sucks, but it's the truth, now I gotta root for the freaking Dolphins tonight, I feel dirty.

It is little dispointing to see the offence getting shut-out in the second half (same in Jets game). It appears as if the offence can't counter adjustments by the opposing defence.

Brady was absolutely brutal in the second half. Just brutal! This loss is definitely on him.
The upside is the more Tom plays the better and more consistent he'll get.
NOBODY will want to play this Patriots team in January. ;)

You have to make plays Brady missed at least four plays two to Moss and two seem routes to Welker. Offensively it was terrible play calling in the second half but once again if Brady hits Moss to begin the second half with an easy 3rd down pass or hit Welker on those routes they win this game ina route. Orton never threw a pass more than six yards downfield and the times he did he was almost picked off. Shawn Springs has to catch that ball at the end of the game

He hasn't looked good but he needs more time to recover. He is coming back from a huge knee injury and his shoulder is probably still feeling it after that preseason tackle. Historically, he has always struggled against the Broncos at home, too. I expect him to be inconsistent up until the bye week. After the week off, I expect Tom to be back to normal or at least close to 100%.

This is something IMO, that doesnt get mentioned enough. Sure there are times when Brady is rushing his throws because he thinks the rush is getting to him, and its not. Sure, there's some rust from being off for a year. But, it just seems like there's certain throws that he's way off on. Could it be something to do with the shoulder? I don't know. It just seems weird that the throws that require some heat and distance, are off target. Then again, week 1 passes to Watson were perfect. I give up, i don't know whats wrong with Tom.

Ok I have had time to stew over this loss.....First off one thing that really pissed me off was after light got hurt and they brought in seabass they ran the ball to protect him....I knew exactly what they were doing (being an o-lineman) and told my sister why they were running the ball but damn, if he is on the team that means he can play so run the same plays as if light were in there.....My feeling is that our lack of running game is hurting our passing game....When we ran the ball our play action was successful when he hit moss down the middle of the field for about 30-40 yards.....we really need an explosive back like a chris johnson who can take a screen pass the distance...I like the way morris runs but he is more of a banger and we miss that guy that can break the big one.....maroney is terrible imo and we are going to miss taylor bad.....I am maybe one of the few that thinks brady will get his stuff together and won't be missing moss wide open for TD's.....I think that we will be allright and will still make the playoffs and then anything can happen...

It's been brutal all season long. The Pats are predictable and go into this bizarre conservative shell during the 4th quarter. Rather than being agressive and going for the kill they get passive in their playcalling. Remember how they did the same thing against the Ravens?? They almost lost that game after turtling 3 and out when they had great field position in the 4th with a chance to put the Ravs away.
No screens, no play action. How about a TE slant route?? How about Moss in a slant to get him the ball? How about going hurry up offense in the 2nd half to wake up the sleepwalking O?
They don't do any of this.
Brady's rust in combination with the wimpish vanilla playcalling is what's killing this team right now.
This is a bend don't break D. I can't fault them for giving up 17 points on the road to an undefeated team in regulation.
This defeat falls at the feet of the offense.

Cuz Mankins is ******* awesome run blocking. Also, of defensive left side (offensive right) will typically have the better run stoppers.

This is not an uncommon trait in LT's. RT's typically are better run blockers, and LT's are typically better pass blockers (because they usually guard the QB's blind side.
