The more I listen to the visceral rhetoric in the political arena the more I am drawn to the conclusion that I will witness the tragic end of democratic government in this country in my lifetime. This country's unprecedented wealth has fostered unprecedented corruption in all branches of the Federal government. There is no going back, whatever anti-corruption claims each party makes going forward. The money at stake is unimaginable. The current party differences are more motivated by greed for patronage than principal, although each party's propaganda machine masks this reality in order to manipulate the public and the young idealists who cycle through the political engine, the life's blood and grassroots of each party. This political combat, motivated by visceral greed, has so polarized the electorate that any sense of the common interest is being rapidly eroded. Foreign threats to the long term future of the nation are of secondary interest to short term power over patronage, masquerading as "Idealism". In time this divisive environment will cause the pot to boil over. Some of the early symptoms of tyranny are already manifesting themselves, I will leave others to identify them... I feel the future of democracy and republican government looks very bleak in this environment of widespread ignorance, mind-boggling wealth at the federal level, corruption flowing in from abroad, and heated rhetoric from a manipulated electorate. And I believe both parties must be scrutinized, with this caveat: The party that most honors and values the literal Constitution is least likely to attempt the obscene act of desecrating it in the future.

Liberalism, Political Correctness and the Invasion of Illegal Aliens will have much to do with the downfall of America as we knew it.

When it happens the United States Constitution will be burned and outlawed, The Politically Correct and the Far Left Liberal will be the first to "Lose Their Heads", the new regime would never tolerate them.

Can you just imagine a Socialist Progressive Police Officer "Reading You Your Rights" :singing:

Sadly, I agree that it could all end soon. I think our current government, controlled by campaign financing and special interest groups, is a perversion of our government and founding principles.

Our dollar, without major policy changes, is in certain decline. Also, we are creating enemies around the world, and at the same time citizens have less stomach for wars that do not concern them.

I've been saying this for years. What's funny is the root of the problem is the aweful two party system. Modern media & political manipulation are what have made this country so partisan. It'll only get worse before it gets better. That's the sad part.

The problem lies in K street and in the fact that almost every industry and corporation is represented there. One missing lobbiest: FOR THE PEOPLE.

our congress and white house forget who they are supposed to be working for...both democrats and republicans....liberals and conservatives.
