Fresh from her resignation speech, i'm still trying to find the connection between soldiers and media coverage of her.

"You represent what could and should be a respected, honest profession that could and should be a cornerstone of our democracy". "Democracy depends on you, and that is why-that's why our troops are willing to die for you. So how about in honor of the American soldier, you quit makin' things up."

...Sarah Palin July 26, 2009

From the mind of Sarah Palin, the gift that keeps on giving.

Alaska's mission - to contribute to America. We're strategic IN the world as the air crossroads OF the world, as a gatekeeper of the continent. Bold visionaries knew this - Alaska would be part of America's great destiny.

We should start the Daily obamaism too. Like when he stated that doctors would unnecessarily to procedures just because they pay well. obama is actually in office, Palin is merely a member of the public. obama is an embarrassment with his ignorant, ****y self righteousness.

When the going gets tough, the tough blame the media.

    And quit. How "mavericky".

I won't be voting for Palin in the primary, if she's in it, I prefer Jindal, Romney, Huckabee, Pawlenty and Gingrich so I won't be voting for her. That said, I'm a lot more concerned about the prez showing outright disdain for the integrity of the medical profession than anything Palin has said.

Why does Obama get a pass from you guys when he's whining about Fox News and Rush in his press conferences?

All Palin has to do is talk about the weather and she gets more press coverage than Stupid Obama, she hits a nerve with the Dingobats they hate to be "talked back to".

How they can criticize her for being dumb is something I can't understand after seeing the Moron Stupid Obama picked for VP.

She's got Age on her side, she'll be back someday (2016)

Palin does nothig BUT ***** about the media.
She props her kids up every chance she gets, but complains they are exploited politically.
She calls press conferences to say crazy stuff, but complains about the coverage.
    She is certifiable.

I don't have time to read an 8 page article, not right now anyway, but he's not right in generalizing about the lack of ethics that he suggested exist in the medical community as a whole. I also laugh at the part of the article I did read talking about pushing cholesterol lowering drugs when diet and exercise will almost always do the same thing. I wasn't going to turn this thread into healthcare so I'm not going to get into some of the costs referenced on the first page of this but for obama to stand in front of the nation and accuse doctors in general of performing surgeries solely for the money with disgusting.

He was right, i saw it with my own eyes DR's coming in and doing 3-4 more Tonsilectomys because one kid needed his out STAT.

Twenty Five yers ago i use to see "Carple Tunnels" done all day long when all that was needed in most cases was to immobilize the hand.

I saw someone have X-Rys done every day for almost a week, when i asked why the X-Ray tech told me "he has terminal cancer, they must be trying to run up the bill" I know the first part is dead on the xray tech may have worded the second part (run up the bill) a little different, it WAS 1978 or '79

There's also the humongous irony of someone in Washington calling the medical industry crooked and only wanting money.

He may have joked about it from time to time but he’s had many sound bites seriously complaining about Fox and Rush. Be honest for cripes sakes.

I never said something never happens. However, he should not be prejudging - and suggesting the rest of the country prejudge - all doctors and the profession based on very little information and detail. I'm not a doctor and neither is obama. It's very possible it's good medical practice to remove the tonsils as a precautionary measure - just like I had my wisdom teeth removed; not because they were impacted but because they're hard to reach and likely would result in problems with maintenance through my lifetime. To suggest that doctors do it solely for the money and, worse, to suggest that it's just one example of a standard operating procedure to do what pays the most was the height of irresponsibility.
