Well, we all know now that the Colts intentionally lost the game because they are much better suited to play outdoors. Just ask all the Colts fans and writers about this one. So I thought I would put together a little quiz for everyone to take.

    COLD WEATHER EDITION

    1. Which team's offense is averaging more rushing yards per game this season?

    A. New England Patriots
    B. Indianapolis Colts

    2. Which team's defense has allowed 132 less rushing yards this season?

    A. New England Patriots
    B. Indianapolis Colts

    3. Since 2004, which NFL team has the best home record in the NFL?

    A. New England Patriots
    B. Indianapolis Colts

    4. Which team has won 6 consecutive home playoff games?

    A. New England Patriots
    B. Indianapolis Colts

    5. Which defense has allowed fewer points and first downs this season?

    A. New England Patriots
    B. Indianapolis Colts

    6. Which defense has the lowest third down percentage in the NFL this year, at 30.3%, as opposed to the 26th ranked defense, at 45.7% ?

    A. New England Patriots
    B. Indianapolis Colts

    7. Which team leads the NFL in turnover margin?

    A. New England Patriots
    B. Indianapolis Colts

    8. Playing in cold temperatures in the playoffs, which quarterback has an 8-1 career playoff record, as opposed to a 3-3 record?

    A. Tom Brady
    B. Peyton Manning

    9. Which quarterback 11 TDs and 4 INTs in those games, as opposed to the other having 3 TD and 10 INTs?

    A. Tom Brady
    B. Peyton Manning

    10. BONUS. Which wide receiver has more 100-yard receiving games in the playoffs?

    A. Jabar Gaffney
    B. Marvin Harrison

Since all those answers are probably Patriot answers, Then that means we have no chance.

Yeah, first, we have to get there. But if we do, Polian, Dungy, and the rest might just take a pass. Primarily based on the above quiz:rolleyes:

Throw the stats out the window when these two teams play. While we know the answer to probably all those questions you posted favor the Pats no doubt, I still say these teams are both very good, while it appears the Colts may be slipping some, I think we will be ready come playoff time..

I assume they are all the obvious answers from a Pats fan's perspective. Not bad for a team that can't run the ball, plays prevent about 1/2 of each game, and does not get the same kind of jump off the ball because of deafening noise.

Yes, THROW THE STATS OUT (when they favor the Pats).

I don't think he's saying the Pats are a lock if these two teams match up in the AFCCG at Gillette. His point, if I'm reading this right, is that all the 'pundits' and 'experts' are incorrect in saying that the Colts are built for the cold weather of Foxboro in January. These so-called experts keep referencing the Colts tough defense and their superior running game as proof that they're better suited for cold weather games, but what they fail to mention is that they're basically lying on both points because the Pats have a statistical edge on both defense and in the running game.

    Question #10 is great...

From Sports Guy's fantasy football preview...

Nobody has ever said the words, "I wish I hadn't taken Marvin Harrison." Well, unless you're in a playoff fantasy league.

Thanks for clearing that up. Not saying the Colts have no chance, they are a great team. But I can't believe all of the stupidity echoed by the writers and media, and some Colts fans as well. You lost, it sucks. You can win in January if you play better, but face it, you're not better off playing in New England.

Well until the Colts can prove they can beat the Pats in January in NE, Its hard to argue with you, we had a very potent offense comparable to what the Pats have now and that netted us exactly 3 points...

Thanks for bringing this up. I consider this game to be the greatest game Bill Belichick has ever coached. I know it's painful for you, but when you consider how good the 2004 Colts were, the likelihood of them scoring only 3 points in 4 quarters was so far off the radar that it's something of a sports miracle. That's how good the Patriots were that day.

Here's their second half, plus playoffs. One of these things is not like the others.

    Code:
    vs Minnesota Vikings W 31-28
    vs Houston Texans W 49-14
    at Chicago Bears W 41-10
    at Detroit Lions W 41-9
    vs Tennessee Titans W 51-24
    at Houston Texans W 23-14
    vs Baltimore Ravens W 20-10
vs San Diego Chargers W 34-31
    at Denver Broncos L 14-33 (wk 17)
    vs Denver Broncos W 49-24
at New England Patriots L [b]3[/b]-20
In their last 8 regular season games the Colts scored 290 points. The 2007 Patriots scored 331 in their first 8. Imagine if we play Pittsburgh in the AFC playoffs this january and they shut us out, that's how ridiculous a feat it was.

No throw the Colts offensive stats out the window at Foxboro in January. THREE POINTS! THREE POINTS!

exactly, thats what I was saying a few posts back, we had an explosive offensive back in 2004 and that netted us exactly 3 points in NE in January..

Did someone say the Colts were "running it up" back in 2004? :D

Actually, since the Colts are falling apart, I don't even know if the Colts will be visiting Foxboro in the post-season. In fact, I think unless the Colts get healthy soon that they have a better shot at playing the Pats in the division round as the fourth seed team winning in the Wild Card round than they are facing the Pats in the AFC Championship being a #2 seed.
