The Big Three

Hard to imagine a couple of weeks ago but there is a possibity that the Patriots sign all three of their big free agents; Welker, Vollmer and Talib.

Thank you Mr. Brady.

They could then use the draft and bargain free agents to bolster the roster

i don't see talib being signed anymore than a year

Depending on the price Talib / Vollmer command I might prefer to sign several players commanding 1-3 million over the vet min per year than to sign 3 big contract guys. For instance we could have Donald Thomas, Edelman, Woodhead and a 3 mil a year CB (assuming one is available) or Talib. You could play the same game with Vollmer. Perhaps the roster is top heavy enough once you sign 2 out of the big 3.

I think BB has a grass is greener attitude towards other decent CBs in FA.
Talib we must remember is one mis-step away from Goody sitting him out for a year.
He wasn't there at the end when we needed him either.
I'd like to see him stay and have a good several years with us but we have the $ to pick the guy we want for CB.

Let's be serious. If we could have almost any free agent corner available in free agency, would we chose Talib for a 3-5 year deal?
