Welcome, one and all, to our annual exercise in communal humility and frustration! The rules are simple:

The Patriots have 8 draft picks. Name 8 players you think they might choose. The most hits wins.

That's it. If you want to approach this like a 7-round-mock, feel free. If you want to just name the 8 likeliest tight ends in order to get at least one pick right, well dagnabbit, that's fine too. Past experience has taught us that any positive score is an accomplishment, and a curly number is a triumph.

A note from your scorekeeper: Please, please try not to change your entries too often! And watch your spelling (and use full names) to make sure you get full credit for your brilliant prognostications.

And now, let the picks begin!

Based on the positions they've looked at, general team needs, I'm willing to embarrass myself with my official contest picks. These assume the Pats stand pat, which is strike one already (and based on current CBS rankings)

Had to include at least one Rutgers player lol.

Over the years I've hit on a couple. Solder in '11, Brace in '09, Crable in '08, Watson in '04, Brady in '00(that's a joke), Katz in '99, Edwards in '98, Mcginist '94 and Bledsoe '93.

My strategy is is I just go with lots of names, a big wall and darts.
