The 2016 Team Is All But Set, Unless

Lucien's a guy I'm pretty excited about for whatever reason, but you're right - Develin might be replaced by a fourth tight end like Derby or Harbor.

I do believe Develin stays. We missed him dearly last year.
Brown is the highest paid RB after Lewis (with guaranteed money); Lewis might start on PUP; I do hope for an RB upgrade in FA or trade - a N1 option before Lewis returns.
I dont see Keshawn Martin cut. I like him + he has 600.000 guaranties. (Lets give MM & Lucien some time)
@ DE maybe more like Grissom/Flowers
@ LB hope Roberts or some (new?) FA challenge Freeny
Underdog chance for DJ Foster and some other UDFA
Question: What are the chances for not carrying Brissett on 53 roster after week 4?

Oh, I guess it was removed in the 2011 CBA. You used to be able to tender a 1st and 3rd.

So what?

1st round tender for $3.65M and if he signs an offer not worth matching, then thank you for the 1st rounder

Butler is good, but replaceable.......dealing with the front 7 is much more important

Rob Ninkovich - getting old
Martellus Bennett - will be a good boy in his contract year and get us a comp pick
Chris Long - replaceable
Matt Slater - will extend here....
Sebastian Vollmer - getting old
Terrance Knighton - replaceable
LeGarrette Blount - ours if we want him
Jabaal Sheard - 2
Donta Hightower - 1
Brandon Bolden - replaceable
Jamie Collins - 1
Duron Harmon - replaceable
Justin Coleman - replaceable
Malcolm Butler - 2
Logan Ryan - just drafted his replacement

the way I see it Collins and Hightower are 'gotta do'....then Sheard....Butler? I would not complain about getting a 1st rounder for him or letting him play out the year at 3.65M if he doesn't want to extend at a below market deal

the rest can be covered with yearly roster turnover plus draft

agree on most

I see Cyrus as an insurance if Butler doesn't come friendly. It would be wise to get bigger CB eventually for complementary duo.

I have a feeling they really like Butler though and vice versa. I expect some gentlemen's agreement. But there is no hurry. I also think that others maybe don't value Butler as high as we do.
1 - Most like them bigger
2 - He is unbelievable but not shutdown
So something around $8x4 with solid guarantees and a nice handshake.

I'd start with Hightower and soon. He is the heart of defence and I hope he stays here like Mayo.
Then Sheard. Like him so much.
Collins if reasonably possible.
Garoppolo if he shows he can carry the team.

The only problem I see with the team this year is back up OT.
RB could obviously be better but that can be worked around with a good passing game and picking your spots.
