THANK YOU!!!
I'm waaay up in the mountains on a small FOB in Afghanistan right now (satellite internet link....sssslowww), we had a small ceremony this morning to observe Veteran's Day and to honor our fallen. Our task force is only a little under 800, we have lost 8 KIA and many times that wounded, injured, etc. (do the math on that per 100 )
This went over the loud speaker;
"In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields."
— Lt.-Col. John McCrae

Thank you for remembering us vets and the current military personnel. I just hope the incoming administration feels the same way.
