Wrong..they will be remembered as the young team that went 14-2, lost their first game in the playoffs the seaon before they went 21-0.

nope i'll remember it asone of the most enjoyable pats seasons i have been involved with... came in thinking 10-6 or 11-5. we had the best team in the nfl and i truely expected us to win it all one game doesn't change for me how much i enjoyed this season

that's how i felt about the 2006 chargers ...almost exactly while it was happening

now i think back to what a chokejob it was , my chargers going 14-2 with the mvp, and choking away the #1 seed in our own house ugh

Yes and no. As a guy who has followed the Pats since the 70's, I remember every Pats team and have fond memories of each. The 2010 Pats are right up there. My favorite team from the last few years is still the 2008 Bradyless Pats. And I still have a great fondness of the 1986-87 Pat teams.

People seem to take winning for granted. The Pats never won. Ever. They were always the team to screw up and break your heart. People should start realizing that winning is really, really hard.

Re: Word for word: Ten quotes that define the legacy of 2010 Patriots

Agree-- the run from the Browns game to the second Jets game was one of the strongest 4-5 game stretch the Pats have played, IMO. For a team that seemed to be rebuilding and going 10-6 at best, I, along with many others, thought this young team would "shock the world" and go all the way. The reassembled offense after the loss of Moss put many on their heels, but Pittsburg's LeBeau said he was "redesigning" his defense in response to his loss to the Pats, indicating it may not have been as invulnerable as appeared on the surface. While Rex no doubt, talked to his bro., the DC of the Browns, before their playoff win, one wonders if he did not also get some help from LeBeau.

At first I wondered how sarcasm that loud could get lost on someone... and then I noticed this...

And I wondered no more. :)

"They did everything better than we did. In every single aspect, they clearly were the better team. We have a lot of work to do." —Bill Belichick, 11/7/10
