FOX is for Fearful Fossils, spoonfed hatred and loving the taste.

any person who watched FOX and thinks its actual news is an idiot. Its comedy.

Funny. I have heard hundreds, if not thousands of people say the same thing about the NYTimesCBSNBCABC,etal. How some people squeal when their own ox is gored, but remain silent when someone else's is.

Oh don't get me wrong, REAL news reporting is almost a lost art. Its truly sad that we live in a time when the media and reporters need to be doing their job to protect our nation from the greedy SOBs that are running it.

Its just that FOX is the crowned jewel of the misinformation, and manipulation of facts. They are a lot like this administration, they do SO many things wrong you get lost in all the BS.

Fox's only crime is that they have cast their lot with the U.S. of A. Come thick or thin, they will stand by the U.S. They will not cut and run when the chips are down, and the nation makes a tough decision, like going into Iraq. Some of the other "main line" media outlets act as if the very freedoms they enjoy grow on trees; people actually had to go out and die for their freedom to sit in a cushy studio or press room, pounding out copy or prepping for the next on-air broadcast. Fox recognizes those sacrifices and appreciates them more than the others, in my opinion.

    I hope that was sarcastic.

    I fear it is not.

FOX tells you what the white house wants them to tell you. They have no actual or objective reporting. The company catch phrase is itself a lie. They do NO reporting and allow no decision on the viewer's part. Everything you wrote in the above paragraph could be considered paranoid propoganda.

the war is a lie, the terrorists are the CIA, and Bin Laden is FRICKIN DEAD!

but you will not hear that on CNN, MSNBC, or in the papers either. THATS what is sad.

BTW Fog, you sound just like my folks, they would LOVE you.

Well, I was going to name this thread, "Tears for Fears", but I didn't want patsfans to get into any copyright infringement trouble, but "fears", yeah, maybe you are, but it's much less necessary with Fox than it is with the others.

    Your parents are right!!

They also tell you all the little things that Cute Perky Katie doesn't want you to hear.

If the Far Left Democrats, The Clintons, The Hollywood Wife Swappers, The Auntie Pelosi Gang, The Drunken Murderer Uncle Teddy, and the Rodent Face Has Been Dan Rather all HATE FOX NEWS than Fox News is doing everything RIGHT.

Rupert Murdoch may not confuse you with Jesus or Mother Teresa, but he knows which side of the bread is buttered, and he ain't about to let it fall on the floor.

Well, I think the problem is that the name Fox News itself is a misnomer. How much time do they spend reporting the news? Almost none, at least at the times I am home watching TV. It is all opinion/discussion, no news reporting. O'Reilly, Hannity and Colmes, Gretta Van Sustren (sp?) are not news shows, and that's all that is on from 8pm until 1 or 2 in the morning. Even the earlier shows, like Brit Hume are only clips of actual news interspersed with commentary.

Maybe they think that not all that happens in the world, particularly when reports have NOT been fact-checked, is newsworthy??? I mean do we need to hear that some obscure dude in Pakistan, a guy with his own political agenda to push, is saying that Pakistani President Mussharaf is "manipulating the situation", when it was al qaeda who killed the opposition candidate, Benazir Bhutto???

Why not wait to check out the facts before going on the 10 AM news cycle with such rumors, just to "scoop" the competition???

I don't know about that. He certainly has a right to express his views on what is news and what is not. You see it, then decide if it's for you, or not. The on/off switch is your vote. I've been doing that toward the NYTimesWashPastCBSNBCABC, etal, for years. Works great!!!

Its fine with me that they have all opinion and commentary, obviously its a good strategy as their ratings are good. All I'm saying is that there isn't much news being reported. I don't blame them at all for their coverage, and I'm not one that thinks they are a mouthpiece for the administration, I just think they aren't really a news station.

All those news corps played the drum beat for the iraq war.

Reagan had a saying: Trust but verify..

OK. Personally, I go to CNN most of all because they do dedicate a lot of effort to *trying* to produce newsworthy stuff, even if they succeed about 30% of the time. I also read WashTimes and, believe it or not, "Rush Limbaugh" occasionally, just to get a different take than CNN. I go for the broad strokes.

CNN is run by commies and MSNBC is a socialist company. Fox has educated the masses and retrained lefties evertwhere to use their brain instead of dogmata.
