For all the screaming of socialism, and cries for less spending by our government by the Tea Party people...

    I have a solution.

    Tea Party people,

    REFUSE THE 'SOCIALISM'

    Don't accept Medicare
    Don't accept Social Security
    Don't call the fire department
    Don't call the police
    Don't use the post office
    Don't support the troops
Don't send your children to public schools
    Don't use the roads
    Don't walk on sidewalks

for the 5-8% of the elctorate claiming to be the Tea Party, this will be quite a bit of saving for the rest of us. Considering the fact that most Tea Party members are old, and accept Medicare and social security. The next generatio will see quite a bit of savings.

You will be able to stick to your 'party principles' and help struggling americans at the same time.

    its a win-win

    Sure, stop taxing me first.

Not sure about the "Tea Party members" being old bit... we seem pretty energized and generally of parent (not grandparent) age.

If we can keep our taxes you have a deal.

Oh wait the Tea Party people are the tax producers not the tax consumers.

He's using typical liberal logic. Make them promises, take their money then chastise them for existing :)

And I'm sure you wouldn't mind your own taxes going up as a result.

I think this is the biggest misunderstanding Tea-Party people have with someone who thinks like me....

I could give a $#!T if my taxes go up if it helps my fellow Americans stay healthy and educated.

Okay I have no children (and will not have any), yet I have paid tens of thousands of dollars over the years in school taxes. Shouldn't I be able to exempt myself from these??
Where's my check!! (with interest, of course)

Why not have the government take your paycheck and decide what you deserve?

well....up until now you've had the police, fire, mail, school, military, library, etc.

    so its a wash.

from this point forward, you can pay no taxes, and use no social programs.

If that was the case, I'd get a chrome Ferrari, caviar and a bunch of gold bars every day

I believe what you are referring to is called communism....quit mixing up your "isms"

stick to the socialistic topic, please. This thread is completely realistic, and we should be treating it seriously. (insert sarcastic emotocon here)

Nice to have a president who actually is aware of whats going on, even if you (Harry Boy) dont agree with him....its a refreshing change of pace.

Libertarians believe in a minimal government maintaining infrastructure, national defense and law and order. That's what I subscribe to. I have no problem paying taxes. The Post Office isn't tax funded. Since I don't have kids I pay for someone else's rug rats andI have no problem with that as long as their parents are tax paying citizens. If I did have kids they would go to a private grammar school as I did. I have a problem with bloated government and wasteful spending. So how about all the far left liberals, especially the Hollywood millionaires, give all their money to social programs, socialized health and supporting illegals, keeping $17,000 annual from a trust fund? Michael Moore cries about capitalism and charges to see his movies :confused2:
