Nope, no racism in the tea party. Nothing to see here. No smoke, no fire.

Why are mostly white people lobbing the R-Bomb against the tea party people. :confused2:

Because the Obama-Bot foot soldiers :halo:... we have several here :nooo:

... have taken the subliminal cue:pigsfly: to bring this battle to the field :horn:.

The foot soldiers are waging the war :yeeha: and they will bring victory to the democrats ...

    RAH!!! :woot:

He probably should be dropped like a lead balloon for exercising such poor judgement, but I think this is an attempt to make mountain out of a molehill. What this guy did was forward chain e-mails that we've all received at some point during the internet age. I make it a rule never to forward chain e-mails, but I've certainly gotten my share of 'em, some of which could get pretty raunchy.

I am not going to get all up in arms because some guy I never heard of got caught forwarding raunchy, offensive chain e-mails. But I guess that's the best the left has when it comes to criticizing the Tea Party.

There's some truth to that. I've received some pretty offensive emails from several sources including from many democrat acquaintances. I delete them.....though a guy I work with had a virus that automatically forwarded a Viagra email to everyone in his address book. I can forward it to any of you who might be interested:p

That said there is a lot of effort being spent by a few here that seem hell-bent on first painting all conservatives as loyal and passionate tea partiers and then painting the the tea party as racist. It's a sneaky way to call me a racist and I don't appreciate it.

Who claimed he wasn't a racist or a dirtbag?

Based on the stuff he apparently sent out he shouldn't have any public office.

Exactly true and very well said. If you oppose the Obama agenda, you are a racist. Pure and simple.

Not sure if you were referring to me, but that was hardly the claim at all.

A study came out showing tea partiers have disproportionately racist views. That doesn't mean every tea partier is racist, or even that most tea partiers are racist. All it means is something that has been apparent to people who understand history: if these people were really motivated by concern over fiscal profligacy they would have manifested long ago. But they didn't, for myriad reasons, but I think it's clear the tea party is motivated more by a visceral hatred of Obama than by actual public policy concerns.

I should have known such would have been misrepresented on this board. After all, we have people here who write "If you oppose the Obama agenda, you are a racist" and apparently believe such to be true.

Huge difference between receiving these kinds of emails and forwarding them on.

This fiscal change has been radical one by any standard I think for better or worse. Personally I think only a fool would hope it doesn't workout for us though. That said it has been a radical change with the Gov. getting deeper ownership in these so called too big to fail businesses. Cap and Trade is radical and controversial and health care is revolutionary. Bail outs and sweet heart deals for wall street abound. That is a shock to the system for a lot of people and sure feels unprecedented even if you google history to find some parallels. There's enough fuel in that to start a movement without even introducing race into the mix. Race card holders are hell-bent on making it all race based though.

Are there racist attitudes in some of the more passionate tea partiers? Of course. The movement is a perfect cover for racist crackers who are looking for an excuse to take down Obama....because he's black. Just say you're anti tax or health care and you get two or three birds with one stone. It is completely unfair though to make a racist out of a genuinely uneasy citizens that have a perfect right to believe that illegals belong back in their own country, immigration should be more limited and the fiscal policy is messed up.

This board has an increasing number of race based threads that target both conservatives and tea partiers as if they are one in the same. I don't mean to misrepresent anything but let me ask you. Why are these threads increasing almost geometrically here? Sorry but it does appear to be some kind pre-emptive strike against anyone that opposes this administration for any policy. It is starting to feel like we're all being called racists.

BTW Phokus do you feel that Obama's 20+ year association with Rev Wright disqualifies him from Office?

Is there an email trail of forewarded sermons and racist comments sent to people by Obama to follow?

Thing about that is this, 13. I grew up a Catholic. I sat through 20 years of Sundays listening to a parish pastor speaking - if that priest turns out to have been a child molester, and the odds are good that happens, does that make me a child molester by association? Does it make me compliant with child molesting? Does it mean I'm a fan of child molesting? If all the altar boys knew he was a child molester, if half the choir and all of the boys basketball team knew it, does that mean "I" had to know it, too? Or does it simply mean I remained unaware of it?

There's a big difference between not being aware of something and passing it along to all your little email buddies with a LOL and a :singing:

You know the more you run your yap, the more you show just how low you are (despite your feeble pretense otherwise).
Horrible analogy on too many levels to address, so let's look at it like this: Do you think that Obama was completely unaware of Rev. Wright's radical views? It certainly isn't something that Rev. Wright is ashamed of or ever tried to hide. Do you think it was something Obama knew about?

I think we all know the answer to that question - but you're too gutless to ever admit it.

No however there are numerous racist rants from the Rev and we have Obama being a member of the church for 22 years we have Obama giving him 26k in 2006 (his only 'charitable' contribution that year).

He knew exactly who and what Wright was he proclaimed it from his pulpit every week while Barry sat in the pews.

BTW I have already said this guy shouldn't hold any office based on these emails (I will assume they are true and not ask that the person who 'stole' them be investigated, think the climategate email).

So will you apply the same standards to Obama we should apply to this guy? Or will you be a hypocrite and try to rationalize his assocaistion with a racist for 20+ years?
