From Draft Daddy (who else):
I find this prospect refreshing in that he's a later round projection (5?), and detours us away from the tiring focus of the #7 pick. Not only does BB like versatile players, this player has lots of upside and athleticism which makes him a solid developmental prospect. Has some negatives, but if he has the desire, at 6060 262 running a 4.65 and 4.60, he represents a strong RZ presence and downfield option for Brady.
I'd rather have Cottam, but as a R2-3 projection, it's wise to explore other TE options later on, freeing up the early rounds for other positions.
---Michigan State's 2-way star (TE/DE) Kellen Davis' interview with a 3-4 team was interesting. He was asked defensive questions, even though he is grouped into the tight end group. Apparently this A.F.C. East franchise, which runs the 3-4 base defense, thinks his versatility is a key and they wanted to know if he would do some outside linebacker position workouts at his pro day since he wont be doing them here.
