SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

Ouch. this hurts. I was wondering why he wasn't out there late yesterday. :(

This sucks, but I thought it would much worse. I think that the offense will be alright for a couple of weeks, and it gives other players opportunities to step up.

Herandez out 1-2 weeks

Just reported on 98.5

Is this thread a joke?

Just hope we don't miss him against Buffalo!

You hear that Taylor Price?

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

This is actually good news, I thought it might have been more serious.

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

This means fewer 2-TE sets for the next couple games. That means Ocho on the field more, so we'll actually get to see how he's doing. This is his first real chance to prove he belongs.

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

This is where the depth of this team will show...

Hopefully will be back for the NYJ...

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

Maybe 2 Gronks on the field. This will really screw up the medical staff of our opponents who when testing their D for concussions won't be able to tell if they're really seeing double or not!

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

Roto:
The Boston Globe's Shalise Manza Young reports Aaron Hernandez has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL, and will miss 1-to-2 weeks.
Hernandez was able to play through the injury for a handful of snaps before departing on Sunday, so it's entirely possible he'll end up missing only one game. New England's co-TE1 has already been targeted 18 times, so his absence might finally free up some looks for a struggling Chad Ochocinco. It's also possible teammate Rob Gronkowski, who has drawn 13 targets of his own, could be fantasy's No. 1 tight end during what should be a short Hernandez absence.

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

Gronk 1 & 2 taking over next week

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

They should keep Hernandez out for the 2 weeks so he's 100% for the Jets..

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

He'll be nice and rested for the Jets. :D
Am far more concerned with the health of the DB's.

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

1-2 weeks I'll take. Was much more worried it would be worse.

Now, onto worrying about Mesko's knee.......

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

Imagine the Pats/Bills game features the two highest scoring teams in the NFL with Fitzpatrick equalling Brady in TDs and Buffalo with the better running game

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

Least he'll be back for the Jets game, rip the linebackers and safeties some new a**holes.

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

Gareth Mills Plz?

Re: SMY: Hernandez strained MCL, out 1-2 weeks.

Let him take his time, he and Gronk are too irreplaceable to lose for longer stretches.

I'm guessing this means more 3WR sets and time for Ochocinco to show his worth.
