    1. In the last 13 years, 9 playoff berths, 7 division titles, 4 AFC Championships, 3 Super Bowl Championships. If their spoiled "fans" think its better anywhere else in the NFL, good luck.
Bill Belichick, the one responsible for keeping a competitive team, made hard choices, like not overpaying overated WR's, older kickers, and older LB's so that the team will be strong for years, took no-name replacements and got them within 4 point of a SB with them in a transition year and has the team up salary cap wise and draft choice wise to stay in championship contention for years.
Tom Brady, took a receiving corp of Reche Caldwell, Jabar Gaffney, TRoy Brown, Chad Jackson within 4 points of a Super Bowl while playing all year with a hurting shoulder.
14 playoff games in 6 years. 12 wins. 3 Titles.
I guess to be a team worthy of a little love during the down times you have to win the title every year.

Well, grow up people. Its a game. Nobody shot your dog. You want the players to come through every time and suck it up when they are hurt.

Its time to look in the mirror and follow your own advise. Dont just be "fans" when they win a Super Bowl.

    I Agree

You don't win it all every season.

Just ask any other fan whose team was a contender.

:rocker: I agree 100%, reading this board today you'd think they went 4-12, not 12-4 and 4 points from the big dance.

No team deserves Boston fans. Anything less than the SB is afailure for them, and the team needs to be dismantled and rebuilt.

Good points. The Patriots are the gold standard of the NFL. That doesn't change because of what happened last night. Over the past 5 years, Patriots coaches and players get more excited looks from other teams than a bevy of 38DD Brazilian girls at a frat party. They are always exciting, always play hard, and most often send other city's suicide hotline into overdrive.

Tough loss last night. But they remain a top 3 NFL team, and are the best professional team in New England -- sorry Sox fans.

We as Patriots fans do seem spoiled to a point.

We love this team and always set the bar high..

With that said, I think that they made a GREAT run with a team that wasnt as talented as the Chargers & Colts. IMO.

I was proud of the way they acted at the end of the game towards the Colts. They didnt go out as whiners and gave credit to the Colts, where it was due..

I was pi$$ed last night..........but this morning I feel much better.

Again, I am more upset about seeing Peyton's smug face for the next 2 weeks, and *gasp* for weeks afterward if he wins the SB.

Please when you give 32 points in the 2nd half after leading 21-6 at halftime, fans have a right to be ticked and sad....and the worst of it was to Horse Face....

The Pats battled hard, but their defense just wore down at the end. Nothing to be ashamed of at all.

I do think the Patriots have used up all their good karma over the past few years and luck will not be on their side in the future. Heck, if you look closely, you will even notice that Tom Brady is starting to bald a little bit.

Yeah, the Patriots were so lucky to keep their coaching staff intact for all three Super Bowls. That was crazy luck.

Are you saying that Belichick made a mistake making McDaniels OC?

and then jackasses like you come along and assume everyones crying in their beer and post this crap. I for one fully appreciate what they've accomplished. Cant speak for anyone else but I guess when you live in a craphole like Kansas, you pretty much assume everyone in NE is all pissed off about this loss.

    Newsflash: we're not.

    :) :)

Well, these are the same fans who root for the Red Sox...

But as for me, I still support them I'm dissapointed but Hell so are they. I'm not mad at the Pats for losing I'm mad at the Colts for winning.

I saluted the Patriots for a magnificent season and a thrilling game Sunday and slept like a baby...... You can't win every big game everytime....... Its a game and they played their hearts out. Now all the blame-gamers and whiners know how it feels for all the fans of other teams feel when the Patriots dashed thier hopes and dreams with last minute heroics..... Looking forward to next season already........:rocker:

Living outside of Boston now, its hard for me to tell but did anyone else think the crowd at the Jets playoff game was kinda quiet?

I was thinking to myself that the fans in New England have gotten fat and complacent. Is this accurate at all?

There is a fine line between anger and hurt. I think most of us were hurt by the loss and that is hard to deal with, so sometimes it's vented inappropriately. Behind it all is our love for the team.

Jayza Criste, what's with the dumping on Red Sox fans? We're not all whiny semi-suicidal wimps. Not just you, but it pops up quite a lot on Pats boards.

I agree completely. I have complete faith in Kraft, Belichick, Pioli, and Brady. This is a golden era for us, it is Camelot.

On the other hand, people should keep in mind that it IS possible to support the team unconditionally, while still finding faults with it (such as the offensive coordinator).
