I have watched every game the the Pats have played this year and one of the things that has stood out to me is the erosion of this teams tackling skills. I have see so many missed tackles this year. Where we were once fundamentally sound in this area, we now have a weakness. In particular, our secondary since Rodney went down has tackled very poorly. Big hits are great but they don't replace fundamentally sound tackling techniques.
How does this happen?
Is this a coaching issue?
Is this a product of our evolution from a heavy veteran presence, to a younger defense?
Is it directly related to injuries?

I'd love to hear some opinions on this.
Respects,

Rich

They haven't practiced in pads in about 3 weeks, maybe 4. That'll do it. Hopefully they'll be in them this week because your right. They're missing a lot of key tackles. Sanders in the colts game led to Adam's FG. Meriweather on Thursday. ugh.
