Gone are Reilly Smith, Marc Savard, Martin "We didn't know you" Jones, Justin Florek, and Rob Flick.
Also gone is Greg Campbell to Columbus and Matt Bartkowski to Vancouver. I have read that Paille is gone, but he's not signed anywhere else yet, though he's not expected to re-sign.

The Bruins have added Matt Beleskey, Zac Rinaldo, the rights to Jimmy Hayes and Sean Kuraly, and Chris Breen. They've also retained Ryan Spooner and Jeremy Smith (G).

And with Savard gone, that officially free's up 4M in cap space (some of which will be used to sign Hayes, who is an RFA).

Beleskey had a break out year last year with 22 Goals for the Ducks.. Figure him on the 3rd line, imho.
Spooner will be competing for a spot on the 3rd line. He put up 18 points in 29 games to finish out the Bruins season..
Rinaldo is likely on the 4th line.

Jimmy Hayes is a wild card.. If the Bruins can sign him, then he brings a lot of size (6'6) to the Power play and should be able to slide in on the right side with Krejci or Bergeron.

Breen signed a 1 year- two way contract. He's unlikely to make the team, but he could provide journeymen depth on defense in the event of injuries..

What the Bruins need, IMHO, is an offensive defenseman who can eat up time.. Unfortunately, the pickings are slim.

You have 38 year old Marek Zidlicky. You have 33 year old Christian Ehrhoff.

You also have 30 year old Andrej Meszaros who had a cup of coffee with the Bruins back in 2013 after being acquired at the trade deadline.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Bruins add Matt Irwin. I think he could be a solid 3rd line D-man with the potential to put in some minutes on the PP and PK.
