    Finally...

are the days of the Drug companies writing the drug bills, and the oil companies writing the energy policy done? I sure hope so.

(Clean air act? what a joke)

WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court ordered the federal government on Monday to take a fresh look at regulating carbon dioxide emissions from cars, a rebuke to Bush administration policy on global warming.

In a 5-4 decision, the court said the Clean Air Act gives the Environmental Protection Agency the authority to regulate the emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from cars.

Greenhouse gases are air pollutants under the landmark environmental law, Justice John Paul Stevens said in his majority opinion.

The court’s four conservative justices — Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas — dissented.

it's not just the drug and oil companies; the united states needs to get rid of all special interest groups and their ability to influence country policy. it should be unconstitutional that small groups can exert influence over all citizens just through money and campaign contributions. for example, does anyone else find it weird that all political candidates have to kiss ass to the israeli aipac group in order to have any chance of getting elected?

Times are changing, a few years ago you would have been called an "anti semite" and your post would have been deleted now I wish they would let me say the word "Black" without being screamed at for being a racist.

Emissions from cars, what will they do about Africa, France, Germany, Russia, China, Japan, Viet Nam and Nova Scotia or is it just the "Bush America" that is bringing about the end of the world?

It was the "Bushies" who relaxed the co2 emissions laws, and called it a "Clean Air Act"....
