The league hands out supplementary draft picks as compensation for losing players to free agency. NE has had its share of those. Have we ever selected any good players or even starters from our supplementary draft picks? Anyone able to do the research? It might be interesting.

Yup. 199th overall pick, 33rd pick in the 6th round.

I don't have to research. I know of one... a fellow named Tom Brady....

Wasn't Troy Brown a supplementary draft pick? I think he was near the end of his round.

Those (Brady, et al) were COMPENSATORY, not supplemental...

    #11 Jersey

I think that's what the original poster meant, unless that was to correct him.

Read the original post again. He is actually asking for compensatory, not supplemental, picks.
Everything that could have gone wrong with this thread did.

Yes, that is what I had meant.

Wow! Didn't know Brady was a compensatory pick.

Why not say Pass? Pass was a very good selection based on where we took him. He was a very late seventh round pick and he played a pretty decent size roll in our 2004 Super Bowl season. It was a great pick based on where he was selected. It was no Brady, but a great pick none the less.
